Rodney L. Sherman wandered into the Clarion News newsroom in
1992 to drop off a letter to the editor and never truly left. In June 1992, he joined the newspaper's
part-time staff. On June 28, 1994, he joined the news staff full-time, while completing
coursework at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. He was
named editor Jan. 11, 1999. In his years at the Clarion
News, Rodney has covered every Clarion County Municipality and school board at least once
and other general interest area and events, especially those that include a free lunch or
dinner. A U.S. Army veteran, Rodney is a former
locomotive engine technician, farm hand and theater manager. He holds a degree in communications from CUP. While attending CUP, he received a national award for his first-ever sports
column. A life-long county resident, Rodney is a U.S.
Civil War and history buff, enjoys politics and collects flywheels from old anvils.

Ryan S. Pugh, Ryan S. Pugh, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford,
took over as Sports Editor at the Clarion News after Nick Cammuso left in December of
2007. Ryan grew up in the town of Dutch Hill, which is "conveniently located 10
minutes from the heart of nowhere."
Ryan worked as a burger flipper, janitor, fuel attendant, maintenance man (Ha!), and a
lumber handler in the years between college and the Clarion News. He also worked as a
correspondent for the Butler Eagle, covering high school football for eight years.
Ryan promises to try and do his best covering local athletics, but if history proves
anything, his best usually isn't good enough.

Greg V.
Renninger, Greg V. Renninger is the newest member of the Clarion
News staff. Greg was hired in January of 2008 to replace Jessica Bonk, who replaced Amy
Thompson. Greg graduated from Thiel College in 2006 with a degree in sociology, what he is
doing writing for a newspaper instead of out solving the world's problems is a question
for the ages. According to Greg, his private life is just that, private.

Tom
DiStefano has
been here before. A reporter for the Clarion News from 1990 to 1994, he escaped for a few
years to the world of non-profit social service. In early 1999 he was dragooned by Rodney Sherman into
just filling in now and then, little suspecting it was all just a trap. Since
May 1999, he has worked full time covering various municipal governments, school
districts, environmental issues and other matters of interest in Clarion County.
The period before 1990 is hazy, but includes rock and roll and
studying Communication at Clarion University. He will only admit to being a native of
Vowinckel. DiStefanos free time is spent
interacting with rocks up some shady creek sitting on large ones, or hauling
smaller ones back for his collection.

Jessica Bonk, Jessica Bonk graduated from Clarion University with a
degree in English in the spring of 2007, a full year before she was supposed to graduate.
Jessica got hired to replace Amy Thompson in September of 2007. Amy ran off to North
Carolina to be a babysitter?!? However, due to a multitude of departures, Jessica is now
the Lifestyles Editor at the Clarion News. Pam Huffman was the Lifestyles Editor until
October 2007, but she wanted that new baby smell around the house again so she and her
husband Mark brought another son, Zachary, into the world. Jessica spends her spare
time waiting to get a new Beta fish to replace the dearly departed Reginald and Goober.

Bobbie Lorenz joined
the Clarion News staff in July 27 as a way to gain fame and fortune. Bobbie is the staff's
typesetter extraordinaire, handling obituaries, church, For Your Information and wild
variety of other items put on her desk. You may have seen Bobbie in her former employment
as a flower shop assistant at Bloom Town Floral Shop in Rimersburg, at the Union School
District as support staff, AKA "Lunch Lady" or at her first "real"
job, as secretary for Scott Engineering. She holds a degree in secretarial and office
assistance from DuBois Business College. Bobbie resides in Rimersburg with her husband,
two sons (who are leaving soon for college), a dog and a cat.
