Keystone budget maintains staff and programs

T he Keystone School Board is expected to vote May 21 on a proposed 2012-13 budget that does not include any staff or program cuts.

It does, however, include a real estate tax rate increase, although that increase is less than anticipated.

T he Monroe Township Supervisors agreed May 10 to sponsor an Appalachian Regional Committee grant request for Delta Development Group for the proposed 83-unit active adult senior living community just outside Clarion in Monroe Township.

The township will sponsor the money and pass it through to Delta Development.

“T he key word is tentative,” school director Matt Higgins said as North Clarion adopted a tentative budget showing a $383,177 deficit.
