NEW YORK – Marion June Lauer (Beniades), talented singer and actress, died in New York last Saturday after a lengthy illness. She was 86. Born in Fryburg, on December 14, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of John “Jack” and Jessie Lauer. Ms. Lauer was a gifted singer who sang throughout local churches at a young age.
