Stream disturbances in Salem and Richland townships investigated

CLARION COUNTY The state Department of Environmental Protection and the Fish and Boat Commission are both taking action on two incidents where heavy equipment damaged streams in western Clarion County. Salem Township allegedly dug into the bed of Beaver Creek to adjust its channel near a township road bridge, piling dirt along the waterway and releasing silt into the stream.
