County budget includes tax hike, layoffs
CLARION Having worked marathon budget sessions for the
last few weeks, the Clarion County commissioners produced a tentative 2009-2010 county budget at their Nov. 25 voting session, and it isn’t pretty.
The $15,494,826 spending plan includes a tax increase of two mills, which will boost the county’s general fund by an estimated $786,000.
