Knox Borough Council recently approved a 2010 general fund budget that includes an $84,000 surplus. The budget came in on the plus side with no tax increase, holding the borough’s tax rate at 8.25 mills. Council also approved advertising a pay raise for themselves and the mayor, to $100 per month for all, with Linda Runyan being the lone opposition vote.
