Fryburg water gets rate increase
HARRISBURG The state Public Utilities Commission is allowing the
Fryburg Water Company to raise its rates, but not as much as the company requested.
The commission voted 5-0 Jan. 14 to grant Fryburg Water a two-step increase totaling 31.5 percent, or about $9.80 per month for the average customer.
The company had asked for a 41.1-percent increase.
