Blanding’s turtle comeback

Blanding’s turtle, Emydoidea blandingii, was thought to have largely disappeared from Pennsylvania. Most authorities describe its earlier range as Lake Erie and the Pymatuning Marsh. However, M. Graham Netting, in the 1930’s cited two collections from the center portion of the state.
