Expansion costs push Paint-Elk authority to boost service rates
MARIANNE The Paint-Elk Joint Sewer Authority had to expand its
system under orders from DEP, and now must raise its rates to pay for the project.
The authority voted Feb. 24 to change its rate structure in a way that will increase rates for everyone, but will place more of the burden on those who generate more sewage.
