Williams’ scores placed her in the top 1 percent of more than 1.5 million students nationally who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Williams now stands eligible to move into the finalist bracket and to be awarded a National Merit Scholarship. Tara is the daughter of Charles and Kim Williams of Shippenville.
