Clarion Science Olympiad team earns 11 medals

Clarion Science Olympiad team earns 11 medals

CLARION Clarion Area High School's Jr. High Science Olympiad team placed fifth in the Tier AA State Competition on April 10. Both the regional and state competitions occurred virtually at the high school.

The team brought home a total of 11 medals.

The following are the events and winners of that competition:

4Circuit Lab took third-place with Victor Troese and Prakhar Singh;

4Density Lab took second-place with Prakhar Singh and Maya Wilshire;

4Experimental Design took third-place with Natalie Durish, Anna O'Toole and Nathan Frederick;

4Food Science placed fourth with Victor Troese and Prathmesh Singh;

4Heredity received fifth-place with Maya Wilshire and Nathan Frederick;

4Meteorology received sixth-place with Prathmesh Singh and Blaise Cunningham;

4Ornithology took sixth-place with Chris Kim and Blaise Cunningham;

4Reach for the Stars placed third with Billy Kahle and Linsday Schmader;

4Road Scholar took second-place with Billy Kahle and Chris Kim

4Water Quality received third-place with Natalie Durish and Prathmesh Singh; and

4Write It Cad It placed second with Maya Wilshire and Anna O'Toole.
