Students attend Rotary leadership conference

CLARION Clarion County students selected to attend this year's Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, a program at Westminster College were introduced at a meeting of the Clarion Rotary Club and each presented a short talk regarding their RYLA experience.

RYLA is a week-long program for high school students entering into their senior year and is held annually in June at Westminster College.

Long-time Clarion Rotarian Trueman Mills helped start the District 7280 program over 35 years ago. Mills, along with Jamie Lefever serve on the local RYLA committee.

Three students from Clarion Area, two students from Clarion-Limestone, Keystone, North Clarion, Redbank, and Union were selected.

Students selected to be members of the 2019 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards class include:

lClarion: Abigail Harbaugh, Rachel Howard, and Nathaniel Lerch.

lClarion-Limestone: Siena A.M. Brown and Sydnee Rae Moretti.

lKeystone: Katherine Faith Custer and McKenna Judith Deible.

lNorth Clarion: Haley Bauer and Jacob Bauer

lRedbank Valley: Megan Gourley and Elizabeth Brooks

lUnion: Sienna Salvo and Truman Vereb
