Area students named to dean's list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania

INDIANA The following students from Jefferson County have been named to the dean's list for the summer 2019 semester at Indiana University of Pennsylvania:

4Isabel Marie Hackenberry, State Route 36, Punxsutawney majoring in criminology;

4Kaitlyn Rae Beers, Roadrunner Lane, Reynoldsville majoring in criminology.

Crawford achieves dean's list at Belmont University

NEW BETHLEHEM Kathryn Crawford from New Bethlehem qualified for the dean's list at Belmont University for the fall 2019 semester.

Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Approximately 38 percent of Belmont's 8,481 students qualified for the fall 2019 dean's list. Belmont Provost Dr. Thomas Burns said, "This achievement for the fall semester indicates that these students have placed a high priority on their work at Belmont and have invested time and energy in their studies.

"It is our strong belief that consistent application in this manner will reap great benefits, which will equip them for a lifetime of learning and growing."

Area students named to dean's list at Slippery Rock University

SLIPPERY ROCK Slippery Rock University announces its dean's list for the fall 2019 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits. Area students named to dean's list at Lycoming College

WILLIAMSPORT The Lycoming College dean's list is issued at the close of each semester in recognition of superior scholarship.

The following high-performing students were recognized for academic excellence for the fall of 2019:

Students make the dean's list if they complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the semester.

BEAVER FALLS The following students have been named to the dean's list at Geneva College for the 2019 fall semester:

To be eligible for this recognition, students in traditional programs must earn a grade point average of at least 3.6 while passing 12 credit hours or more.
