Redbank students give through civics project

Redbank Valley eighth-grade students (from left), Brenden Weaver and Kieran Fricko presented donations to the Drop-In Center Director, Pam Kirkland (middle). The students chose to raise money and buy supplies for the local Drop-In Center in Clarion also known as The Victory House for their civics action project in Dr. Harmon’s class. They received the donations from family, friends and a local church. The Clarion County Drop-in Center (Victory House) is a fully consumer-run, recovery-oriented center that provides vitally important support for people with significant mental health concerns who are in recovery. This is a place where people can relax, be themselves, feel accepted and safe, and find the support and encouragement they need to rebuild meaningful lives. Members participate in social interaction activities, trips and tours. For more information on the Drop-In Center, please call (814) 297-8429.
