Lenny Cooke shares story at CUP
CLARION Lenny Cooke, once regarded as one of the top NBA recruits in the country, will present his story at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 in Gemmell Multi-Purpose Room.
It is free and open to the public.
Cooke went unselected in the 2002 NBA draft, then fell on hard times. During the presentation, he will recount both the mistakes he made and the perseverance he showed to rebuild his life.
Brian Cook, an Emmy-nominated international journalist, will introduce Cooke.
The event, part of Clarion University's celebration of Black History Month, is sponsored by the Office of Minority Services.
