Notice is hereby given that Ben Hal Mining, Inc., 389 Irishtown Road, Grove City, PA 16127, requested bond release for Surface Mining Permit No. 16180101, pursuant to the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act. The permit was issued on August 1, 2018 and is located northeast of Greenville Pike (S.R. 1007), southeast of Stone House Road (S.R. 1009), and east and west of Servey Road (T-519) on the Thomas J. & Deborah Seidle, Michael A. Patton, and Sara J. Seidle-Patton; John W. Port and W. Scott Port; and Alice P. Rupert properties in Clarion Township, Clarion County. Bond release of $56,179 is requested for 23.0 acres. Total bond held is $95,900. The release area includes backfilling, regrading, and sedimentation control. This was completed in March 2019. Permanent grasses were planted in April 2019. Pursuant to the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act and Clean Streams Law, notice hereby is given that Ben Hal Mining, Inc., 389 Irishtown Road, Grove City, PA 16127, has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to revise existing Surface Mining Permit #16180101 to include a request to change the postmining land use from forestland to unmanaged natural habitat on the John W. Port and W. Scott Port property. The mine site is located in Clarion Township, Clarion County and is known as the Port Mine. The permit area is 43.0 acres and is located northeast of Greenville Pike (S.R. 1007), southeast of Stone House Road (S.R. 1009), and east and west of Servey Road (T-519) on the Thomas J. & Deborah Seidle, Michael A. Patton, and Sara J. Seidle-Patton; John W. Port and W. Scott Port; and Alice P. Rupert properties. The Strattanville, Pa.
