All information contained in the following police reports is taken directly from official state police releases, unless otherwise noted.

Indecent assaults

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into the alleged sexual assault of an 8-year-odl female on June 1, 2019, along Oakwood Acres Lane in Clarion Township.

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged indecent assault of a 12-year-old Shippenville girl at 7:19 a.m. Dec. 16, 2020, along Paint Mills Road in Paint Township. The incident report was released Jan. 11.

Child endangered

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 1:40 a.m. Dec. 14, 2020, investigation of possible child endangerment along CAA Lane in Clarion Township. The results of the investigation were not released. The incident report was released Jan. 11.

Man assaulted

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 36-year-old Clarion woman faces charges of assault at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 7, 2020, along South Fifth Avenue in Clarion Township after she was allegedly involved in an altercation with a 32-year-old Clarion man. The incident report was released Jan. 11.

Illegal concealment of a firearm

TIONESTA Tpr. William Gerg of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Dereck Marshall, 21, of Fryburg, was arrested at 8:13 a.m. Jan. 6 along Elm Street in Tionesta, Forest County.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. At the scene, police determined the driver of the vehicle, identified as Marshall, was driving with a suspended license and he was concealing a handgun.

Police determined Marshall does not have a permit to carry a conceal weapon.

Police also allegedly determined Marshall is probation in Clarion County.

Marshall was taken into custody and placed in the Clarion County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.

Identity theft

KNOX TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports an 84-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman, both of Lucinda, fell victim in a case of identity theft at 1:35 p.m. Jan. 8 along State Route 66 in Knox Township. The investigation is ongoing.

Car chase ends with DUI charges

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 28-year-old Shippenville man faces numerous charges, including fleeing police and driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:19 a.m. Jan. 2 along East Main Street and Airport Road in Clarion Township.

Police attempted to stop Jamie Devin Priester for a traffic law violation. Priester allegedly did not stop and instead fled from police into Clarion where he stopped and fled from the vehicle on foot.

Priester was apprehended a short distance away.

A 20-year-old Rimersburg man who was a passenger in the vehicle faces charges of underage consumption of alcohol.

DUI alleged

ASHLAND TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports a 28-year-old Shippenville man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance at 7:47 p.m. Oct. 24, 2020, along Hockman Road and State Route 338 in Ashland Township after he was stopped for a traffic law violation. Police were alerted to a reported erratic driver to begin the investigation.

Woman injured in one-vehicle crash

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Timothy Nicewonger reports a 29-year-old Knox woman suffered unspecified injuries at an unspecified time Jan. 4 along Coulter Road south of Twin Church Road in Beaver Township when she lost control of her 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck and struck a tree.

The truck then crossed the roadway backward and struck an embankment. The truck was then driven forward and struck another tree.

It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for a traffic law violation.

Police indicated the crash might be DUI-related.

Drug possession

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports an ongoing investigation of alleged drug possession at 2:30 a.m. Dec. 13, 2020, along Paint Boulevard in Paint Township. No further information was released. The incident report was released Jan. 6.

Chain saw and motor stolen

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jason Siegel of the state police barracks at Franklin reports someone entered an unlocked shed owned by a 75-year-old Tionesta-area man sometime between Dec. 20 and 29, 2020, along County Line Road in Washington Township and took a Husqvarna chain saw valued at $400 and a two-horsepower electric motor valued at $400.

Harassment alleged

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a 43-year-old Sligo woman and a 68-year-old New Bethlehem woman face charges of harassment at 4:50 p.m. Dec. 30 along St. Charles Road in Porter Township after allegedly being involved in an altercation with each other.

No charges

TOBY TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports he investigated an alleged incident of defiant trespass and reckless endangerment of another person at 5 p.m. Jan. 3 along State Route 68 in Toby Township. McGinnis reports both involved victims declined to press charges.

Car hits ditch, trees

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports David G. Leightley, 56, Mayport, escaped injury at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 3 along Forest Drive in Limestone Township when he lost control of his 2008 Subaru Outback and drove into a ditch and then struck several trees.

Leightley drove out of the ditch and came to a stop along the road berm.

Leightley was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

One-car crash

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports Mary L. Radaker, 61, Lucinda, escaped injury at 1:30 p.m. Jan.3 along US. Route 322 in Clarion Township when she lost control of her 2008 Subaru Outback on the snow-covered roadway and drove into a ditch before striking an embankment.

Radaker was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for a traffic law violation.

Pick-up hits pole

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Robert L. Runyan, 33, Glen Richey, escaped injury at 10:11 a.m. Jan. 2 along State Route 66 in Redbank Township when he lost control of his 2008 Nissan Titan pick-up truck and struck a utility pole.

Runyan was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation. The vehicle was disabled.

Clarion Hospital EMS, PennDOT, West Penn Power and New Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Custody incident

SLIGO Tpr. Dylan Jarrett reports a 5 p.m. Jan. 1 investigation of alleged child custody interference along Penn Street in Sligo. No further information was released.

I-80 crashes

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Patrick S. Berggren reports Jared A. Fair, 28, Sligo, escaped injury at 4:09 p.m. Dec. 26, 2020, along westbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 46 when he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Prius and struck a unoccupied 2003 Ford Explorer parked along the berm of the roadway.

Fair was wearing a seat belt. Fair was cited for a traffic law violation.

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports Rafael O. Guerrero, 36, The Bronx, N.Y., and his passengers, all from The Bronx, escaped injury at 11:04 p.m. Dec. 20 along westbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 66.8 in Clarion Township when Guerrero lost control of his 2020 Nissan Altima when swerving to miss a deer on the roadway.

The car struck an embankment and crossed over the embankment and came to a stop in some brush.

Guerrero and his passengers were all wearing safety restraints.

The vehicle was disabled.

False alarms

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Robert S. Hageter Jr. reports Dialysis Center along State 68 in Monroe Township faces charges of making false alarms at various times between Aug. 13, 2020, and Jan. 8, 2021, after state police responded to 10 false alarms during that period.
