Criminal charges filed:

lHarry James Donaldson, 68, Parker.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and careless driving, a summary, at 1:19 p.m. July 8 along Madison Street in Sligo.

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man at a local business. A witness reported seeing the man, identified as Donaldson, drive into the business parking lot.

Donaldson allegedly appeared to be very drowsy. Donaldson allegedly had slurred speech, watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Donaldson failed field sobriety tests.

A portable breath test established his blood alcohol content at .23 percent.

A blood test established his BAC at .218 percent.
