CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into the death of a 50-year-old Strattanville man sometime between March 3 and 6 along U.S. Route 322 in Clarion Township.
The cause of death appears to be natural causes. The incident report was released March 30.
Theft by deception
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a 19-year-old Strattanville man used Apple Pay to send $530 to an unspecified individual for a PlayStation 5 game unit March 18 in Clarion Township. The game unit was listed on Penns Woods Classifieds. The game unit was never delivered.
TOBY TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 35-year-old Parker man faces charges of resisting arrest at 8:44 a.m. March 20 along Burns Farms Road in Toby Township as police were investigating a DUI and drug possession incident.
CLARION BOROUGH -- Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 43-year-old Sligo woman faces charges of perjury at 10 a.m. Jan. 5 at the Clarion County Courthouse in Clarion Borough. The incident report was released March 30.
Truck hits pole
WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith reports Joshua R. Waters, 35, Oil City, escaped injury at 4:59 p.m. March 21 along Lake Lucy Road in Washington Township when he lost control of his 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck and struck a utility pole.
The vehicle was disabled at the scene and Waters allegedly left the scene of the crash.
The truck was towed from the scene. Waters was cited for a traffic law violation.
SALEM TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports two Emlenton RD men face charges of criminal mischief at 4:46 p.m. March 28 along Snyder Grove Road in Salem Township after they allegedly damaged each other's vehicles. One suspect allegedly used a golf club to damage a window on a vehicle while the other suspect damaged the trunk of the other vehicle by striking it with his vehicle.
REDBANK TWP. Tpr Brian Tanner reports an ongoing investigation of the theft of a Hot Pocket snack and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup candy bar (total value -- $5) at 9:15 a.m. March 21 at the Shell gas station along State Route 28 in Redbank Township.
