Truck hits pole

ALLEGHENY TWP. Tpr. Matthew Lesnett of the state police barracks at Butler reports no one was injured in a 7:50 p.m. Nov. 19 crash along State Route 38 in Allegheny Township in Butler County.

Carl D. Walker, 57, St. Petersburg, operating a southbound Ford F-250 truck was rounding a curve as Derek C. Ratvasky, 43, Emlenton, operating a 2017 GMC Sierra, began to enter the roadway from his driveway.

Walker took evasive action to miss Ratvasky's truck and in the process drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The vehicles did not collide. Both men were wearing seat belts.

Crash injures three

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports three people were injured in a 5:44 p.m. Nov. 15 two-vehicle crash along South Fifth Avenue at Bauer Road in Clarion Township.

Cheyenne A. Rosenberg, 21, Gibsonia, operating a southbound 2011 Ford Escape, attempted to make a left turn onto Bauer Road and turned in front of a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Brinna E. Bailey, 18, Corsica, and the vehicles collided.

Rosenberg was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. She was cite for a traffic law violation.

Bailey and her passengers, Dustin R. Yarger, 19, Mayport, and George H. Bailey, 57, Corsica, were wearing seat belts. Brinna Bailey suffered a minor injury. George H. Bailey suffered suspected serious injuries and was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital for treatment.

Another passenger in the Bailey vehicle, a 14-year-old Knox female, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered suspected minor injuries.

Clarion Fire and Hose Co. 1, Clarion Hospital EMS, MC Auto Towing and Leadbetter's Towing assisted at the scene.

Vehicles hit deer

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Brandon Collett of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Corbin J. Micale, 19, Marienville, escaped injury at 9:24 p.m. Nov. 19 along State Route 66 in Farmington Township when his 2009 Toyota Yaris struck a deer on the roadway. Micale was wearing a seat belt. Snyder's Auto Body assisted at the scene.

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Brandon Collett of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Todd L. Benson, 41, Oil City, escaped injury at 6:40 a.m. Nov. 20 along State Route 66 when his 2018 Toyota Yaris struck a deer on the roadway. Benson was wearing a seat belt.

STRATTANVILLE - A woman accused of stealing more than $70,000 from the Strattanville Volunteer Fire Department was sentenced Oct. 6 in Clarion County Court to serve seven years on probation.

CLARION - A Clarion County jury Sept. 24 convicted Floyd Harry Watson, 45, Knox, on 111 charges relating to the rape of a girl over a six-year period.

ELK TWP. -- Pamela J. Raybuck, 66, Kossuth, Sept. 15 pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving resulting in death, a summary offense, and has paid a fine and court costs totaling $610.

LOWER BURRELL - A member of the Clarion-Limestone School Board faces an Oct. 19 preliminary hearing on charges he was driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:27 a.m. Aug. 21 in the City of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.
