FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Ian Ostrowski of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 72-year-old Pittsburgh man died in a 5:57 p.m. Aug. 21 vehicle crash along State Route 66 just south of McCloskey Road in Farmington Township.
Deceased is Raymond Michael Komichak. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a known female. No further information was released as the investigation was ongoing.
Crash injures three
PAINT TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports three people were injured in a 2:41 p.m. Aug. 21 two-vehicle crash along State Route 66 near Zacherl Lane in Paint Township.
Amy L. Snyder, 44, Corsica, operating a northbound 2017 Subaru Outback. Allegedly turned left into the path of a southbound 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Bridget R. Hunsberger, 48, Knox, and the vehicles collided.
Both drivers and Hunsberger's passenger, Raymond S. Lasher, 44, Knox, were wearing seat belts. All suffered unspecified injuries with both drivers transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.
Snyder was cited for a traffic law violation.
WASHINGTON TWP. State police at Marienville report a known suspect faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:48 a.m. Aug. 19 along State Route 36 and Pine Hollow Road in Washington Township after police responded to a report of a disabled motorist.
CLOVER TWP. Tpr. Smolko of the state police barracks at Punxsutawney reports a 37-year-old Hawthorn man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 17 along Block Yount Road in Clover Township, Jefferson County, after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.
BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a 50-year-old Knox woman faces charges of open lewdness at 4:16 p.m. Aug. 14 along Popetown Road in Beaver Township. The victim is a 51-year-old Knox man.
STRATTANVILLE Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports he responded to a report of criminal mischief occurring sometime Aug. 1 during which a two aluminum pins and a plastic knob valued at $300 was damaged at the Strattanville Borough maintenance shed.
A suspect was located. The suspect spoke with borough officials and all items were returned. The borough opted not to press changes.
RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 43-year-old Emlenton man reported he was a victim of identity theft 8 a.m. Aug. 9 in Richland Township.
Theft by deception
BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports an ongoing investigation of theft by deception at 8 a.m. July 13 at Tom's Riverside Market in Beaver Township.
MILLCREEK TWP. Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports a known male reported fraudulent credit card charges had been made on his 69-year-old mother's credit card May 1 in Millcreek Township. The investigation is going.
SLAEM TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 15-year-old Lamartine male faces charges of harassment at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 along Community Road in Salem Township after he allegedly pinched another 15-year-old male in the face.
PAINT TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports one person was injured in a 2:11 p.m. Aug. 20 two-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 322 just north of Kiser-Wagner Road in Paint Township.
Carl R. Hepler, 83, Clarion, operating a westbound 1970 Porsche 944, allegedly attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a westbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Jessica L. Hook, 33, Knox.
Both drivers and their passengers were wearing safety restraints. Hepler suffered a possible injury.
Hook was cited for a traffic law violation.
SLIGO Tpr. Mark Stutsman reports an ongoing investigation of bad checks being issued July 30 to a business in Sligo.
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Patrick Berggren reports James A. Hibler, 53, Mt Kisco, N.Y., escaped injury at 9:01 a.m. Aug. 18 along eastbound Interstate 80 in Clarion Township when he drove his 2006 Dodge Sprinter off the roadway. The vehicle rolled onto its driver's side and struck a tree. Hibler was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
Two men cited
SLIGO Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports two East Brady men, ages 22 and 23, faces charges of simple assault and harassment at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 19 along Penn Street in Sligo after they alleged were involved in a fight with each other.
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports an iPhone was found 1:56 p.m. Aug. 20 along Interstate 80 exit 70 in Clarion Township. The owner of the phone should contact state police at 814-226-1710.
I-80 crash injures driver
RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports Hussam Saleeby, 60, State College, suffered suspected serious injuries in a 12:04 p.m. Aug. 19 two-vehicle crash along eastbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 48.7 in Richland Township when he lost control of his 2014 BMW X5 and struck an embankment, a ditch and went into the median.
The car went airborne and struck a westbound Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by Vincent J. Toarmina, 59, Spring Hill, Fla.
The BMW continued in the westbound lane, rolling over onto its wheels.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Toarmina was not injured. Saleeby was cited for a traffic law violation.
Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at scene.
ASHLAND TWP. Tpr Chandra Baughman reports she responded to a report of a white 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser stolen from a location along U.S. Route 322 in Ashland Township. The license plate on the vehicle is Pennsylvania LJA2551. The victim is a 54-year-old Girard man.

CLARION State police at Clarion report a DUI checkpoint will be conducted within the coverage area of the Clarion barracks within the next four weeks. The focus of the exercise is aimed at removing impaired drivers from the roads.
Car rolls over
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports Shayan A. Burns, 19, Westfield, N.J., escaped injury at 1:06 p.m. Aug. 18 along westbound Interstate 80 in Clarion Township when he lost control of his 2017 Subaru Outback and drove off the roadway and struck an embankment. The car rolled over. Burns was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
