DUI alleged

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Jonathan Miles reports a 26-year-old Sunnyside, N.Y. man faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 9:20 a.m. Sept. 8 along westbound Interstate 80 in Beaver Township after he was stopped for a vehicle inspection. The suspect also faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Trespassing incidents reported

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Dylan Jarrett reports a 70-year-old Shippenville man faces charges of trespassing at 5:55 p.m. Oct. 8 along Paint Boulevard in Paint Township. The victim is a 40-year-old Shippenville man.

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports an ongoing investigation into an alleged incident of trespassing at 9:38 p.m. Oct. 19 along State Route 66 in paint Township. The victim is a 25-year-old Shippenville man.

Student assaulted

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Patrick Berggren reports one student assaulted another student at 12:37 p.m. Oct. 14 at Union High School in Madison Township. The victim is a 15-year-old female. No further information was released.

Retail theft

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 45-year-old Parker woman faces charges of retail theft at 1:35 p.m. Sept. 12 at Goodwill in Monroe Township after she alleged took $24 worth of household goods from the store. The incident report was released Oct. 22.

Drug possession

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a known suspect faces charges of drug possession at 6:51 p.m. Oct. 11 along Grand Avenue in Clarion Township. No further information was released.

Deer strike disables vehicle

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Ethan Rowe reports Adam J. Penfollow, 27, Wexford, and his passenger, Courtney L. Kohler, 37, Wexford, escaped injury at 7:06 p.m. Oct. 23 along westbound 2015 Jeep Renegade struck a deer on the roadway. Both occupants were wearing seat belts. The vehicle was disabled.

Clothing stolen

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports an ongoing investigation of 10 bags of clothing, valued at $1,500, stolen 9:37 a.m. Oct. 21 at Goodwill in Monroe Township. No further information was released.

One-vehicle crash

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports Mark W. Lewis, 60, Clarion, escaped injury at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 21 along Fisher Road in Clarion Township when he lost control of his 1987 Dodge Dakota truck and struck a roadside guiderail. Lewis was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Public drunkenness

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a known individual faces charges of public drunkenness at 5:22 p.m. Oct. 21 along State Route 68 in Monroe Township. No further information was released.

Woman assaulted

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports a 36-year-old Clarion woman faces charges of simple assault at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 19 along Fraternity Drive in Clarion Township after she allegedly assaulted a 41-year-old Newark, N.J. woman.

Two drivers injured

TOBY TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports two people were injured in an 8 a.m. Oct. 19 two-vehicle crash along State Route 68 in Toby Township.

Hunter E. Minich, 22, East Brady, operating a northbound 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser, allegedly swerved into the southbound lane and struck a 2015 Toyota Rav4 operated by Elizabeth M. Conner, 32, Rimersburg.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Both were transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment. Minich was cited for a traffic law violation.

Theft of services

SLIGO Tpr. Sean Floor reports a 32-year-old Clarion man faces charges of theft of services at 4:53 p.m. Oct. 16 along Colerain Street in Sligo. The victim is a 36-year-old Sligo man. The case involves a dumpster. Loss is estimated at $50.

Pick-up overturns

HOWE TWP. Tpr. Nash Rupp of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Jacob J. Scalise, 30, Clarion, suffered a minor injury at 10:57 p.m. Oct. 20 along State Route 666 near Blue Jay Creek Road in Howe Township, Forest County, when he lost control of his 2006 Ford Ranger pick-up and struck roadside guiderails.

The truck then struck an embankment and rolled over.

Scalise allegedly left the scene and was unable to be located. Scalise was not wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Vehicles hit deer

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports Patricia M. Chambers, 63, Pontiac, Mich., escaped injury at 12:40 a.m. Oct. 19 along westbound Interstate 80 in Richland Township when her 2020 Ford Eco Sport struck a deer on the roadway. Chambers was wearing a seat belt.

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports Hector Bustamante, 63, Staten Island, N.Y. and his passenger, Illiana Canton Bustamante, 58, same address, escaped injury at 11:34 p.m. Oct. 19 along eastbound Interstate 80 in Richland Township when their 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a deer on the roadway. Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

STRATTANVILLE - A woman accused of stealing more than $70,000 from the Strattanville Volunteer Fire Department was sentenced Oct. 6 in Clarion County Court to serve seven years on probation.

CLARION - A Clarion County jury Sept. 24 convicted Floyd Harry Watson, 45, Knox, on 111 charges relating to the rape of a girl over a six-year period.

ELK TWP. -- Pamela J. Raybuck, 66, Kossuth, Sept. 15 pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving resulting in death, a summary offense, and has paid a fine and court costs totaling $610.

LOWER BURRELL - A member of the Clarion-Limestone School Board faces an Oct. 19 preliminary hearing on charges he was driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:27 a.m. Aug. 21 in the City of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.
