Criminal charges filed:

lScott Brian Hiwiller, 63, Templeton.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and summary charges of disregard of traffic lane, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and failure to wear seat belt at 3:25 a.m. Oct. 7, 2018, in Madison Township.

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash in which the truck had rolled over several times.

Police observed an open bottle of Jim Beam whiskey near the crashed vehicle. Hiwiller allegedly told police he had swerved to miss a deer on the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.

Hiwiller allegedly admitted he "had a few" drinks before driving.

Hiwiller allegedly had slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on this breath.

A blood test established his blood alcohol content level at .129 percent.

lJohn Glenn Seybert, 55, Rimersburg.

Charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, a third-degree felony; two counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count of simple assault, all second-degree misdemeanors; and summary charges of careless driving and reckless driving Feb. 17 in Toby Township.

Seybert allegedly was the driver of a vehicle along Cherry Run Road with two adult male passengers.

Seybert allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing serious injuries to one passenger and minor injuries to the other.

At a Oct. 1 session of Clarion County Central Court, Seybert pleaded guilty to summary reckless driving and all other charges were withdrawn.

Fine and costs total $317.

lJoshua David Kahle, 23, State College.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and summary charges of illegal parking, disregard of traffic lane and careless driving at 3:12 a.m. July 4 along State Route 66 in Limestone Township.

Police were alerted to a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road.

Police arrived and allegedly found Kahle asleep at the wheel of the vehicle. The vehicle's motor was running.

Kahle allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and seemed confused.

Kahle allegedly told police he "had too much to drive."

Kahle failed field sobriety tests. A portable breath test indicated Kahle had consumed alcohol.

A blood test established his BAC at .174 percent.
