All information contained in the following police reports is taken directly from official state police releases, unless otherwise noted.

Vehicle stolen

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Brandon Collett of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a white male suspect, described as about 45 years old, balding, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds, allegedly took a gray 2019 Hyundai Tucson, license plate number LHZ-2132, from the parking of Snyder's Autobody at noon Sept. 12 along Snyder Lane in Farmington Township.

The suspect was accompanied by another individual who was operating a small, black SUV that left the scene at the same time as the stolen vehicle.

Both vehicles fled north on Tylersburg Road toward Tylersburg.

DUIs alleged

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports a 38-year-old Clarion man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:34 p.m. Sept. 5 along State Route 66 in Clarion Township after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 20-year-old New Bethlehem man faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 12:24 a.m. Sept. 6 along State Route 66 at Palmer Drive after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

SLIGO Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports an unidentified driver faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:24 p.m. Aug. 29 along Madison Street in Sligo after the driver was stopped for a traffic law violation.

HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports a 38-year-old Philipsburg man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substances at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 28 along Miola Road in Highland Township after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

Child endangered

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports a known female suspect faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child at 6:42 p.m. Sept. 1 along Lawsonham Road in Madison Township after she was allegedly found passed out in her driveway while her toddler child was found crawling around the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.

Two men cited in Knox altercation

KNOX BOROUGH Tpr Joshua McGinnis reports a 36-year-old Knox man faces charges of assault and a 60-year-old Knox man faces charges of harassment at 6:50 p.m. Sept. 1 along East State Street in Knox Borough after they allegedly were involved in an altercation with each other.

The younger man was arraigned and placed in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

Knox man cited

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 47-year-old Knox man faces charges of harassment and making terroristic threats at 8 p.m. Aug. 22 along Tippecanoe Road in Beaver Township after he allegedly threatened a 48-year-old Knox woman.

PFA violations investigated

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 47-year-old Knox man faces charges of violating a protection from abuse order at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 2 along Commerce Road in Monroe Township. The victim is a 48-year-old Knox woman.

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports an investigation of an alleged PFA violation at 8:48 a.m. Aug. 23 in Perry Township. The investigation determined no violation of the order occurred.

Child abuse investigation

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports he responded to a report from Child and Youth Services regarding possible child abuse at 12:40 p.m. Aug. 26 along Lime Plant Road in Perry Township. The investigation determined no abuse occurred.

Stolen license plate leads to charges

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Tate Allison reports a male suspect was taken into custody at 11:19 a.m. Sept. 3 along eastbound Interstate 80 in Monroe Township following a traffic stop.

The vehicle was stopped due to a stolen Ohio "dealership" license plate from a business in Toledo, Ohio.

During the stop, police allegedly found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Attempted fraud

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports an ongoing investigation of a 9:38 p.m. Aug. 29 incident during which an unknown suspect attempted to deposit a fake check using the bank account information of a 31-year-old Fairmount City woman.

Speaker stolen

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports someone took a black JBL speaker valued at $150 from the residence of a 35-year-old Clarion woman sometime Aug. 30 along Robinwood Drive in Clarion Township. The investigation is ongoing.

Two road signs vandalized

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports someone spray-painted two road signs on a bridge sometime between Aug. 21 and 31 near the intersection of Goughler and Jefferson roads in Beaver Township.

Hit and run crash in Sligo

SLIGO Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports no one was injured in a 3:08 p.m. Sept. 3 two-vehicle hit and run crash at the intersection of Colerain and Bald Eagle streets in Sligo.

Ali L. Larson, 48, Rimersburg, stopped her 2000 Dodge Neon at a stop sign and was struck from behind by an unknown model of vehicle.

The driver of the unknown vehicle drove away from the scene without stopping.

Larson and her passenger, William K. Gates, 42, Rimersburg, were wearing seat belts.

Vehicle vandalized

FOXBURG Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a 27-year-old Parker man faces charges of criminal mischief at 9:23 p.m. Aug. 24 along Main Street in Foxburg after he allegedly damaged a car window and door and a car window flag on a 2008 Mazda vehicle owned by a 17-year-old Hilliards male. Total damage is estimated at $115.

Package stolen

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports someone took a FedEx package from a Robinwood Drive residence sometime around 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31 in Clarion Township. The investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports he responded to a reported disturbance involving two men at 4:25 p.m. Aug. 31 at Walmart in Monroe Township. The victim is a 48-year-old Corsica man.

Money stolen

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports an ongoing investigation of the alleged theft of approximately $1,500 at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 16 at Walmart in Monroe Township.

Two-vehicle crash

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports no one was injured in a 5:10 p.m. Aug. 31 two-vehicle crash along State Route 66 at Olean Trail in Limestone Township.

Stephen G. Schwesinger, 31, Bridgeville, operating a 2019 Ford Fusion, was beginning to turn south onto State Route 66 from Olean Trail when he stopped in the northbound lane because he observed a 2008 Honda Accord, operated by Zoe N. Calhoun, 20, New Bethlehem, approaching in the northbound lane.

Calhoun attempted to swerve to miss the Schwesinger vehicle but was unable to miss hitting the Ford Fusion.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Schwesinger was cited for a traffic law violation.

Harassment alleged

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 31-year-old Rimersburg woman faces charges of harassment at 5 p.m. Aug. 22 along State Route 68 in Monroe Township. The victims are two Rimersburg woman, ages 19 and 51. No further information was released. The incident report was released Sept. 10.

ASHLAND TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 27-year-old Knox man faces charges of harassment at 5:45 a.m. Sept. 6 along U.S. Route 322 in Ashland Township after he allegedly struck a 27-year-old Knox woman during an argument. The suspect allegedly fled from the scene.

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Knight reports a 64-year-old Rimersburg woman faces charges of harassment at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 30 along Sandy Hollow Road in Madison Township after she allegedly was involved in a dispute with a 23-year-old Rimersburg woman.

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Dylan Jarrett reports a 17-year-old Knox male faces charges of harassment at 2:01 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Clarion County Career Center parking lot in Paint Township after he allegedly was involved in a domestic dispute with a 45-year-old Knox man.

ELK TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports an ongoing investigation of alleged harassment involving two juveniles at 7:44 p.m. Aug. 31 along Brownies Road in Elk Township. The victim is a 13-year-old female.

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports a 42-year-old Sligo woman faces charges of harassment at 6:39 p.m. Aug. 25 along Lime Plant Road in Perry Township after she allegedly was involved in an incident with a 29-year-old Parker-area man. The investigation is ongoing.

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged incident of harassment at 5:44 p.m. Aug. 28 along Perkins Road in Monroe Township. No further information was released.

Domestic investigation reported

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Brandon Collett of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an ongoing investigation of alleged domestic incident at 2:52 p.m. Sept. 3 along State Route 66 in Farmington Township. No additional information was released.

Car hits deer

ASHLAND TWP. Tpr. David McBride reports Shawn W. McCullough, 29, Kennerdell, escaped injury at 11:34 p.m. Aug. 30 along U.S. Route 322 in Ashland Township when his 2014 Subaru Legacy struck a deer on the roadway. McCullough was wearing a seat belt. The car sustained disabling damage. The deer was killed.

Parking lot hit and run crash

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports Michael W. Falosk, 46, Prosperity, operating a 2011 Ford F-250 Supercab truck, struck a fence at 3:26 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Walmart parking lot in Monroe Township.

Falosk allegedly continued to drive forward while his truck was hung up on the fence and then fled from the area without notifying police or Walmart of the incident.

Falosk was cited for a traffic law violation.

Public drunkenness

TIONESTA TWP. -- Tpr. Brandon Collett of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 43-year-old Clarion woman faces charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct at 5:43 p.m. Sept. 13 along State Route 36 in Tionesta Township, Forest County, after she allegedly created a disturbance at a private residence.

Car hits barn

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Rebecca L. Layman, 38, Rimersburg, and her passengers, Shad L. Mohney, 48, Rimersburg, and two juveniles, ages 8 and 11, escaped injury at 6:29 p.m. Aug. 28 along McNaughton Road in Madison Township when Layman lost control of her 2016 Mazda 3 and struck the rear of a roadside barn.

All occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts. The vehicle was disabled.

Layman was cited for a traffic law violation.

I-80 crash

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Dylan Jarrett reports Brian T. Riedy, 45, Cranberry Township, escaped injury at 9:01 p.m. Aug. 28 along westbound Interstate 80 in Richland Township when he lost control of his 2015 Honda Civic and struck a guiderail.

The car slid along the top of the guiderail for about 30 feet.

Riedy was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Motorcycle hits deer

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Brandon D. Matthews, 26, Corsica, suffered suspected minor injuries at 7:31 a.m. Aug. 27 along U.S. Route 322 near Seven Hills Road in Clarion Township when his 2016 Honda CBR-600 struck a deer on the roadway.

Matthews was wearing a helmet. Strattanville Volunteer Fiore Department and Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
