DUIs alleged

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 43-year-old Marienville man faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 9:13 p.m. July 5 along State Route 66 at Griebel Road in Farmington Township after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports a 53-year-old Parker woman faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:57 a.m. July 7 along State Route 68 near Over Road in Monroe Township after she lost control of her 2002 Jeep Wrangler and struck a tree.

The Jeep then rolled over. The suspect was wearing a seat belt. She suffered unspecified injuries and was first transported to Clarion Hospital and then to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment.

Man flees police

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports state police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Clarion man who was known by police to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant at 12:45 p.m. June 22 along CAA Lane and at Meadowbrook Court in Clarion Township.

The wanted man failed to stop and lead police up a driveway. The man then fled on foot and was not apprehended.

The incident report was released July 12 and did indicate if the suspect, identified as Barry McMillen, has been into custody or is still wanted by police.

Parking lot incident

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports a 36-year-old Clarion woman faces charges after she allegedly was at Clarion Hospital in Monroe Township were she was intoxicated and refused treatment.

Upon arrival at the scene, state police allegedly observed the suspect striking family members in the parking lot.

Terroristic threats

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 29-year-old Fryburg man faces charges of making terroristic threats and "multiple other charges" at 8 p.m. July 11 along Marble Strobleton Road in Washington Township after police responded to a reported incident. The victims are described as three Marienville men.

Window shot out

SALEM TWP. -- Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports someone used a BB-gun to shoot out a window sometime around 4:41 pm. July 6 along State Route 208 in Salem Township. The victim is a 53-year-old Knox woman. Damaged is estimated at $220.

Hit and run

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports Chase T. Strother, 21, Berwick, suffered minor injuries at 6:50 p.m. July 4 along eastbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 48.6 in Richland Township, when his 2008 Dodge Avenger was rear-ended by an unknown vehicle causing Strother's vehicle into the guiderails several times.

Strother was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop.

Strother was cited for driving without a license. Emlenton Fire Department and Emlenton Ambulance assisted at the scene.

The car was towed from the scene by Frye's Towing.

‘Last four' stolen

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 61-year-old Sligo man reported someone stole the last four numbers of his Social Security number at 12:21 p.m. July 7 in Clarion Township. No further information was released.

Online scam

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 67-year-old Strattanville woman was scammed out of $1,250 worth of Apple, Target and Google gift cards July 2 along Fisher Road in Clarion Township.

Unemployment scams reported

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports a 31-year-old Strattanville man reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in his name July 12. The investigation is ongoing.

PERRY TWP. -- Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports a 45-year-old Parker woman reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in her name July 12. The investigation is ongoing.

STRATTANVILLE Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 28-year-old Strattanville woman reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in her name July 12. The investigation is ongoing.

CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 39-year-old Strattanville woman reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in her name July 10. The investigation is ongoing.

WASHINGTON TWP. -- Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 52-year-old Marble man reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in his name June 22. The investigation is ongoing.

PAINT TWP. -- Tpr. Patrick Berggren reports a 40-year-old Knox woman reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in her name July 1. The investigation is ongoing.
