Rape alleged

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into the alleged rape of a 16-year-old Rimersburg girl by a 17-year-old known male around the time Halloween in 2020 in Madison Township.

Megan's Law violation

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Katherine Berggren reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged violation of Megan's Law (sexual offender address registration). The investigation began Oct. 25. No further information was released.

DUI alleged

SHIPPENVILLE Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports a 59-year-old Tionesta man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 6:24 p.m. Nov. 9 along North Street in Shippenville after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

Rear-end collision

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports one person was injured in a 6:46 a.m. Nov. 8 two-vehicle crash along Paint Boulevard in Paint Township.

Terry A. McCleary, 18, Knox, operating a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, stopped to turn left and was struck from behind by a 2016 Ford Fiesta operated by Allan J. Bish, 51, New Bethlehem.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Bish suffered a minor injury.

Bish was cited for a traffic law violation.

Identity theft

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports he investigated an incident of identity theft that occurred sometime between May 5 and Nov. 4 in Paint Township. The victim is a 51-year-old Shippenville woman.

PORTER TWP. -- Tpr. Brian Tanner reports he investigated an incident of identity theft that Nov. 5 Porter Township. The victim is a 58-year-old New Bethlehem man.

One-vehicle crash

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports Lauren G. Smith, 20, New Bethlehem, escaped injury at 8:42 a.m. Nov. 6 along Curllsville Road in Porter Township when she lost control of her 2011 Jeep Compass and drove off the roadway.

The vehicle rolled over, landing on its wheels. Smith was wearing a seat bag and airbags deployed.

Retail theft

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports state police responded to Walmart in Monroe Township. at 10:17 a.m. Nov. 8 for a report of retail theft. No further information was released. State police ask that anyone with any information about the incident call police at 814-226-1710.

Credit card fraud

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports he investigated a report of unauthorized use of a credit card at 3:01 p.m. Nov. 8 along Second Avenue in Monroe Township. The victim is a 49-year-old Clarion woman.

Vehicles hit deer

HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports Nathan A. Terrana, 40, Lower Burrell, and his passenger, Miranda B. Brennan, 41, Lower Burrell, escaped injury at 4:46 p.m. Nov. 7 along Miola Road in Highland Township when their 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe struck a deer on the roadway.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts. The vehicle was disabled.

KNOX TWP. Tpr. Donald Cloak Jr. reports Bruce C. Dean, 65, Leeper, was not injured while his passenger, Marsha E. Black, 76, Leeper, suffered minor injuries at 5:44 p.m. Nov. 8 along State Route 66 in Knox Township when their 2019 Dodge Caravan struck a deer on the roadway.

Dean was wearing a seat belt. Black was not wearing a seat belt.

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Marc Hunsberger reports David L. Stratton, 67, Indianapolis, Ind., and his passenger, Gladys V. Stratton, 68, same address, escaped injury at 6:28 p.m. Nov. 5 along State Route 28 in Redbank Township when their 2016 Honda Odyssey struck a deer on the roadway. Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports Jeffery M. Holder, 48, McDonald, and his passenger, Joshua M. Holder, 20, Southview, escaped injury at 6:02 p.m. Nov. 7 along westbound Interstate 80 in Richland Township when their 2019 Chevrolet Express struck a deer on the roadway. Both men were wearing seat belts.
