Assault investigation

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports an ongoing investigation of a reported aggravated assault at 4 p.m. Sept. 11 along Idle Run Road during the Redbank Valley Poker Run in Redbank Township.

Police are seeking anyone who witnessed or might have video of the assault, which allegedly involved a knife, to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

No further information was released.

Parking lot crash

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports no one was injured in a 11:48 a.m. Sept. 14 two-vehicle crash in the Walmart parking lot. The unidentified driver of a 2007 Jeep Liberty stuck the side of a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. No further information was released.

DUI alleged

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports a 24-year-old Corsica man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:25 p.m. Aug. 7 along eastbound Interstate 80 in Monroe Township after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

Trespass incident

MILLCREEK TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports she responded to a report of trespassing at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 4 along Cathers Road in Millcreek Township. No further information was released.

Two-vehicle crash

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Ethan Rowe reports one person was injured in a 7:55 a.m. Sept 12 two-vehicle crash along State Route 66 at Olean Trail in Limestone Township.

Donald A. Nair, 85, New Bethlehem operating a 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, "failed to safely enter the flow of traffic" and was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck operated by Joseph D. Wanson, 34, Waterford.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Nair suffered unspecified injuries.

Nair was cited for a traffic law violation.

MC Auto and Limestone Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Harassment alleged

KNOX BOROUGH Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports a 29-year-old Eau Claire man faces charges of harassment at 12:53 a.m. Sept. 12 along East Railroad Street in Knox Borough after he allegedly punched a 28-year-old Knox woman in the stomach, causing her pain and discomfort.

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports a 45-year-old Knox man faces charges of harassment at 9:42 p.m. Sept. along McNany Road in Beaver Township after he allegedly kicked a 59-year-old Knox woman in the head.

Unemployment scam reported

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 39-year-old Summerville man reported an unknown suspect claimed unemployment benefits in his name between July 9 and Sept. 9. The investigation is ongoing.

STRATTANVILLE - A woman accused of stealing more than $70,000 from the Strattanville Volunteer Fire Department was sentenced Oct. 6 in Clarion County Court to serve seven years on probation.

CLARION - A Clarion County jury Sept. 24 convicted Floyd Harry Watson, 45, Knox, on 111 charges relating to the rape of a girl over a six-year period.

ELK TWP. -- Pamela J. Raybuck, 66, Kossuth, Sept. 15 pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving resulting in death, a summary offense, and has paid a fine and court costs totaling $610.

LOWER BURRELL - A member of the Clarion-Limestone School Board faces an Oct. 19 preliminary hearing on charges he was driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:27 a.m. Aug. 21 in the City of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.

CLARION - The former tenant of a Clarion apartment building Aug. 25 entered a guilty plea to aggravated arson, risking bodily injury, a first-degree felony, in Clarion County plea and sentence court.
