DUI alleged

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Zachery Weaver of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 43-year-old Tylersburg man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 8:53 p.m. May 17 along State Route 38 in Farmington Township after being stopped for a traffic law violation.

Full gas can stolen

KNOX TWP. State police at Clarion report someone took a full five-gallon gasoline can from a garage along Marble-Strobleton Road sometime between May 9 and 10 in Knox Township.

The victim is a 73-year-old Lucinda man. The investigation is ongoing.

Car hits buggy

SALEM TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports one was injured in a 6:39 p.m. May 13 incident along State Route 208 near Ron McHenry Road in Salem Township during which a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by Marie V. Smith, 86, Emlenton, struck an Amish buggy operated by Sam E. Byler, 34, Knox.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash. Smith was cited for a traffic law violation.

Two people cited

MILLCREEK TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 24-year-old Sigel man and a 42-year-old Fisher woman face charges of harassment at 10 p.m. May 14 along Fisher Strattanville Road in Millcreek Township after they were allegedly involved in an altercation with each other. No injuries were reported.

Car and bear collide

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Julie A. Simpson, 36, Rimersburg, was operating a 2007 Dodge Nitro along State Route 861 in Porter Township when a bear entered onto the road and ran into the right front corner of the car.

The went off the road and struck a ditch and an embankment, traveling a "great distance" before coming to rest along the berm.

Simpson and her infant passenger were wearing safety restraints.

Simpson was cited for failing to immediately report the crash.

The condition of the bear was not reported.

Unfounded report

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a report of alleged theft of software between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. May 6 along U.S. Route 322 in Clarion Township proved to be unfounded.

Four-vehicle crash

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports one person was injured in a 4:15 p.m. May 13 four-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 322 in Paint Township.

Joshua A. Long, 43, Lock Haven, stopped his eastbound 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass for unspecified reasons.

Craig L. Songer, 58, Clarion, operating a 2010 Toyota Corolla, made a sudden stop behind Long.

William L. Smith, 68, Clarion, operating a 2007 Nissan Quest, struck Songer's vehicle which was pushed into Long's vehicle.

Pamela S. Reid, 49, Clarion, operating 2013 Ford Edge, then struck the rear of Smith's vehicle.

All drivers and their passengers were wearing seat belts. A passenger in Smith's vehicle, Virginia A. Smith, 72, Brookville, suffered suspected minor injuries.

Smith and Reid were cited for traffic law violations.

Truck pulls down electrical wires

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports the driver of a 2003 Peterbilt truck turned onto eastbound State Route 861 at 1:07 p.m. May 13 in Porter Township with the dump bed of the truck fully raised.

The raised truck bed caught on overhead electrical wires, pulling the wires and a pole down.

The vehicle was disabled until the power company arrived to cut power to the line.

Baughman did not identify the driver of the truck.

Court documents indicate Thomas R. Burns, 74, Sligo, was charged with careless driving and violation of vehicle height standards in the incident.

Harassment alleged

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 21-year-old Strattanville man and a 24-year-old Summerville woman face charges of harassment at 8:50 a.m. May 10 along Brooklyn Lane in Clarion Township after they allegedly were involved in an altercation with each other.

Graham reports drugs were found at the scene and seized.

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Ethan Rowe reports a 61-yeqar-old Rimersburg an faces charges of harassment at 5 p.m. May 16 along Sandy Hollow Road in Madison Township after he allegedly threatened a 19-year-old Rimersburg man via unspecified communication.

Two-vehicle crash

CLARION TWP. Tpr Kyle Freeman reports no one was injured in a 6:56 p.m. ay 17 two-vehicle crash along Greenville Pike in Clarion Township.

Sabrina R. Deapen, 28, New Bethlehem, operating a 2008 Dodge Durango, was passing a 2003 Peterbilt truck operated by Santos F. Andrade, 48, Medford, N.Y.

Andrade did not see Deapen's vehicle and proceeded into the left lane, striking the Durango.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Both drivers were cited for traffic law violations.

Cars hit poles

PINEY TWP. Tpr John Dubovi reports Tyler J. Murray, 22, Sligo, escaped injury at 12:23 a.m. May 13 along State Route 68 in Piney Township when he lost control of his 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and struck a utility pole.

Murray was not wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Ethan Rowe reports no one was injured in a 3:04 p.m. May 17 one-vehicle crash along State Route 58 near Foxview Road in Richland Township.

Jakeisha N. Stanton, 37, Pittsburgh, lost control of her 2008 Toyota Yaris and sideswiped a utility pole.

Stanton and her passenger, Jacob Reinbold, 27, Pittsburgh, were wearing seat belts.

Stanton was cited for a traffic law violation.
