Vehicle stolen

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Dylan Jarrett reports a 29-year-old Parker man faces various charges, including driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance and theft at 12:14 a.m. April 25 along Bashline Road in Beaver Township.

A vehicle was reported as stolen. That vehicle was located and the suspect placed into custody. He arraigned and placed in the Clarion County Jail.

DUI alleged

CLARION BOROUGH Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 25-year-old Strattanville man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:12 a.m. April 10 along East Main Street in Clarion Borough.

DUI checkpoint

MARIENVILLE State police at Marienville have announced troopers from that barracks will conduct a DUI checkpoint somewhere within the jurisdiction of the barracks sometime in the month of May.

Compressor stolen

BARNETT TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith of the state police barracks at Marienville reports someone took a red Craftsman air compressor valued at $450 from the yard of a 56-year-old Clarington woman sometime around 1 p.m. April 2 along State Route 36 in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

Anyone with any information about the theft is asked to contact state police at 814-927-5253.

The incident report was released April 27.

DUI/paraphernalia

PUNXSUTAWNEY Tpr. Nicholson of the state police barracks at Punxsutawney reports William Geist, 41, Strattanville, faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 7:08 p.m. April 10 in Punxsutawney after being stopped for a traffic law violation.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kristina Hilyer, 31, Clarion, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two-vehicle crash

CRANBERRY TWP. Tpr. Nathan Hannah of the state police barracks at Franklin reports no one was hurt in a 1:37 p.m. April 19 two-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 322 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Donald L. Hartsell, 45, Oil City, slowed his 2015 Toyota Tundra to turn left and was struck from behind by a 2007 Toyota Camry operated by Kenton J. Mays, 62, Knox.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Mays was cited for a traffic law violation. The incident report was released April 26.

Trailer causes crash

CRANBERRY TWP. Tpr. Nathan Hannah of the state police barracks at Franklin reports no one was hurt in a 2:10 p.m. April 20 one-vehicle crash.

Dennis J. Cyphert, 63, Tionesta, was operating a 2020 Dodge Durango and towing a trailer along U.S. Route 322 near Bredinsburg Road.

The weight in the trailer began to shift, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway. The trailer struck the rear driver's side wheel of the Durango.

Cyphert was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
