Child allegedly sexually assaulted

ASHLAND TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged 7:37 a.m. Aug. 26 sexual assault on an 11-year-old female by a known male juvenile.

Clarion County Children and Youth Services reported the incident to police.

Child deprived of her medication

PINEY TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports a known male parent and a female step-mother face charges of endangering the welfare of a child at 7:38 a.m. Aug. 26 along Huckleberry Ridge Road in Piney Township after they allegedly failed to provide an 8-year-old girl with her needed prescription medication.

The investigation is ongoing.

Reckless endangerment of a child

REDBANK TWP. Tpr Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into a 3:43 p.m. Aug. 15 incident in Redbank Township during which a 3-year-old female suffered a severe allergic reaction after a known male continuously applied diapers that caused the reaction.

Crash injured four

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports four people were injured in a 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24 two-vehicle crash along Bug Road in Monroe Township.

Kasey A. Haines, 29, Sligo, operating a northbound 2015 Polaris RZR 900, crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and crashed into a southbound 2015 Jeep Wrangler operated by Jeffrey A. Dubia, 69, New Bethlehem.

Haines and his passenger, Garrett A. Singer, 28, Pleasant Gap, were wearing seat belts. They were transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries.

Police allege Haines was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Dubia and his passenger, Keli Dubia, 63, New Bethlehem, were wearing seat belts and suffered suspected minor injuries.

Both vehicle were disabled in the crash and towed from the scene.

DUI alleged

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Ryan Drayer reports a 53-year-old Ambridge man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:15 a.m. May 19 along Greenville Pike after being stopped for a traffic law violation. The police report regarding the incident was released Aug. 29.

Father and son charged in fight

TOBY TWP. Tpr. Nicholas Gray reports two Rimersburg men, ages 18 and 53 and a son and father, face charges of simple assault and harassment at 5:04 p.m. Aug. 26 along Huey Road in Toby Township after they allegedly were involved in a fight with each other.

Both men sustained suspected minor injuries. Both were arrested, arraigned and placed in the Clarion County Jail.

Pop machine vandalized

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports someone attempted to break into a Pepsi vending machine sometime between Aug. 26 and 27 at Triple S Recycling along State Route 208 in Washington Township.

The suspects did not gain access to the pop or the money in the machine.

Harassing texts

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 46-year-old Springdale man faces charges of harassment at 10:26 p.m. Aug. 28 along Brookville Street in Hawthorn after he allegedly sent a series of harassing and threatening text messages to a 56-year-old Fairmount City man.

Vehicles collide

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 2013 Subaru Forester and a 2014 Ford Escape collided at 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at the intersection of the WalMart access road and Perkins Road in Monroe Township. No one was injured. The unidentified driver of the Subaru was cited for a traffic law violation.
