CLARION - An Oil City man charged with having sexual relations with a juvenile at a residence in Knox entered a guilty plea last week to indecent assault with a person less than 18 years of age, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Eric Glen Sharp, 20, was initially charged with: involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years of age, a first-degree felony; statutory sexual assault, a second-degree felony; aggravated indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age, a second-degree felony; indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age, a second-degree misdemeanor and corruption of minors, a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to the criminal complaint, on June 26 the Knox Borough Police Department was made aware Eric Sharp allegedly had sexual relations with a known 15-year-old juvenile victim.

Through investigation police found Sharp met the victim at a known residence in Knox Borough and then had sexual contact with the victim in a bedroom at the residence.

Clarion County Judge Sara Seidle-Patton accepted the plea and told Sharp he could face a sentence of two years to five years in a state prison. He is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 15.
