Phone scam

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports an 86-year-old New Bethlehem man fell victim to a telephone scam over a period of several months beginning in June. No further information was released.

Driver falls asleep, crashes along I-80

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Ryan Drayer reports Angel J. DeJesus Jr., 18, Secaucus, N.J., escaped injury at 5:18 a.m. Nov. 4 along eastbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 62.4 in Monroe Township when he fell asleep at the wheel of his 2010 Mazda 3 and drove off the roadway.

The car struck an embankment and rolled over. DeJesus was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
