Theft investigation
CLARION TWP. Trp. Ethan Rowe reports he is investigating the theft of tractor heat shields valued at $200 sometime between midnight Jan. 7 and 9 a.m. Jan. 8 along Hartman Road in Clarion Township. The victim is a 63-year-old Clarion man. The investigation is ongoing.
Shoplifting investigation
MONROE TWP. -- Trp. Ethan Rowe reports he is investigating the theft of Magic cards and Pokemon cards valued at $316 sometime between Nov. 19 and Dec. 5 from the Walmart located on Perkins Road in Monroe Township. The investigation is ongoing.
School disturbance
MADISON TWP. Trp. Evan Cyphert reports an 18-year-old Rimersburg male faces charges of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident 12:10 a.m. Jan. 13 at Union High School located on Baker Street in Madison Township after he allegedly caused a disturbance by unreasonable noise, attempted to leave the school and entered into a verbal altercation with the school resource officer and getting into his face after being evaluated for possibly being under the influence.
Identity theft
LIMESTONE TWP. Trp. Brian Tanner reports he investigated a report of identity theft 2:40 p.m. Jan. 13 along Greenville Pike in Limestone Township. The victim is Tamala Clark, 55, Clarion.
Catalytic converter theft
CLARION TWP. Trp. Patrick Berggren reports unknown suspects took a catalytic converter valued at $200 from a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier July 10 along Grand Avenue in Clarion Township. The victim is a 20-year-old Union City female.
Harassment
KNOX TWP. Trp. Ethan Rowe reports Elizabeth Guthrie, 27, Lucinda faces charges of harassment with physical contact in an incident 5:26 p.m. Jan. 4 along Pine Lane in Knox Township.
Multi-vehicle crash
PAINT TWP. Trp. Jacob Knight reports Tracy Reinsel, 42, Clarion and Tammy Hranicky, 52, Sligo suffered suspected minor injuries in a three-car crash 7:48 a.m. Jan. 11 along Paint Boulevard in Paint Twp. Reinsel, driving a 2019 GMC Yukon, and Hranicky, driving a 2007 Nissan Quest, were stopped om Paint Boulevard in front of Rustler's Sales and Service and Raymond McKinney, 50, New Bethlehem failed to stop his 2013 Honda Civic and crashed into Hranicky who crashed into Reinsel.
All three drivers were wearing their seat belts. McKinney was cited for a traffic law violation.
Shoplifting investigation
PAINT TWP. Trp. Evan Cyphert reports a 34-year-old Corsica man faces charges of retail theft 6:20 a.m. Jan. 10 in Paint Township. The suspect allegedly took three 20-ounce energy drinks valued at $16.17 from the Country Fair convenience store.
Mailboxes struck
CLARION TWP. Trp. Patrick Berggren reports Theodore Bishop, 47, Strattanville and his passengers Haley Durci, 31, Strattanville and Simon Bishop, 18, Strattanville escaped injury when Theodore Bishop lost control of 2011 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and struck mailboxes along Staab Road in Clarion Township.
All three occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
Harassment
CLARION TWP. Trp. Leopold Cleveland reports a 30-year-old male faces charges of harassment at 4:28 p.m. Jan. 12 along Robinwood Drive in Clarion Township after he allegedly was involved in a domestic dispute with a 21-year-old female.
DUI crash
BEAVER TWP. Trp. Michael Stutsman reports John Johnson, 59, Fruitland Park, Fla. faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:44 p.m. Jan. 4 at the intersection of State Route 338 and Shoup Road in Beaver Township after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash with an unidentified 43-year-old Knox male.
Harassment
WASHINGTON TWP. Trp. Dominic Marini of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 30-year-old Venus male faces charges of harassment 11:58 p.m. Jan. 12 after he allegedly was involved in a domestic dispute with a 22-year-old Oil City female in Washington Township. The suspect fled the scene before the state police arrived. The suspect was apprehended later by members of the Franklin state police barracks who determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
The investigation is ongoing.
DUI incidents
FARMINGTON TWP. Trp. Caleb Baxter of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Richard Smith, 33, Marienville faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:40 p.m. Jan. 7 in along State Route 66 in Farmington Township. Smith had allegedly driven his 2017 Chevrolet off the roadway near the Sportsman's Park parking lot and after investigation is was determined Smith was allegedly impaired.
FARMINGTON TWP. Trp. Caleb Baxter of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Jenna Welsh, 33, Brookville faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:49 p.m. Jan. 6 along State Route 66 in Farmington Township. Troopers saw Welsh's vehicle off the roadway near the intersection of McCloskey Road and State Route 66. Through investigation, troopers determined Welsh was operating the vehicle while impaired.
