ELK TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an investigation of the Feb. 8 death of a 58-year-old Shippenville-area man was determined to be from suspected natural causes. The deceased was found in his home. Shippenville/Elk Township Ambulance Service and Clarion County Coroner Daniel Shingledecker also responded to the scene.
SHIPPENVILLE -- Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into the Feb. 9 death of a 60-year-old Shippenville woman who was found deceased inside her residence. The information released by state police listed the death as a suicide.
PERRY TWP. Tpr. Katherine Berggren reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged incident of rape by a member of the opposite sex at an unspecified time between Jan. 1 and Jan. 26 in Perry Township. The victim is a Parker woman.
KNOX Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation of an alleged indecent assault involving two juvenile Feb. 6 in Knox. The victim is a female juvenile.
JENKS TWP. Tpr. Shawn Neiswonger of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an ongoing investigation of a 7:45 p.m. Feb. 2 incident at the state correctional facility in Jenks Township, Forest County.
During the incident, one inmate struck another inmate in the face with a combination lock tied to a sock. The other inmate struck the first inmate in the face with a closed fist.
Both inmates sustained minor injuries.
Jeep hits tree
FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Lee Bunyak of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Colt D. Hartley, 20, Pleasantville, escaped injury at 7:03 a.m. Feb. 7 along State Route 36 in Farmington Township when he lost control of his 2011 Jeep Compass and struck a tree.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
Hartley was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
