Child abuse

HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports an ongoing investigation into alleged child abuse at 8 a.m. March 20 along Miola Road in Highland Township. The victim is a 5-year-old male.

KNOX TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a case of possible child abuse at various times between Dec. 1, 2019, and March 13, 2020, in Knox Township was investigated and determined to be unfounded.

DUI/drug possession

PARKER Tpr. Tate Allison reports Michael Lee Barrett, 52, Knox, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 3 along State Route 268 in Parker, Armstrong County, after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

Limestone crash injures driver

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports Bethany A. Miller, 33, New Bethlehem, suffered unspecified injuries at 12:29 p.m. March 20 along State Route 66 in Limestone Township when she lost control of her 2008 Dodge Caliber on water on the roadway.

The vehicle began to fishtail and struck a guide rail before rolling over an embankment.

Miller was wearing a seat belt. She was flown via medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh-area hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Limestone Volunteer Fire Department and Southern Clarion County Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Forced entry

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a known suspect allegedly forced entry into the home of a 38-year-old Sligo man at 6:45 p.. March 15 along State Route 68 in Monroe Township.

The suspect allegedly caused $50 in damage to a door.

DUI alleged

CLARION TWP. Tpr. John Dubovi reports a 52-year-old Rimersburg man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:13 a.m. March 15 along Greenville Pike in Clarion Township after he was stopped for traffic law violation.

SUV crash, fugitive arrested

MADISON TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports Gary L. Humble, 42, Fairmount City, suffered suspected minor injuries at 3:15 p.m. March 18 along State Route 861 in Madison Township when he lost control of his 2006 GMC Envoy and struck an embankment. Humble was not wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

It was later determined Humble was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Butler County. Humble was taken into custody and placed in the Clarion County Jail.

Propane tank stolen

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports someone took a propane tank sometime between Oct. 15, 2019, and March 21, 2020, at Redbank Valley Municipal Park in Redbank Township.

The large white 200-pound tank was stolen from lot 41 of the campground and belongs to a 77-year-old Sarver woman.

The tank is labeled "Amerigas" and has a serial number of 53714.

Criminal mischief

LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Ryan Drayer reports a 28-year-old Mayport man faces charges of criminal mischief and harassment at noon March 21 along Cyphert Lane in Limestone Township after he allegedly harassed a 26-year-old Mayport woman and caused $180 in damage to a 2013 Nissan Rogue.

Truck hits pole

FARMINGTPN TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Austin G. Schwabenbauer, 21, Tylersburg, escaped injury at 6:10 p.m. March 23 along State Route 36 in Farmington Township when he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck and struck a utility pole.

The crash sheared off the pole. Schwabenbauer was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

One-vehicle crash

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Ryan Drayer reports Brock M. Fair, 20, Parker, escaped injury at 12:19 p.m. March 23 along State Route 58 near Grassy Flat Road in Richland Township when he lost control of his 2003 Jeep Liberty and struck an embankment. Fair was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Hit and run

FARMINGTPN TWP. Tpr. Zachery of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an unknown driver drove off the roadway sometime around midnight March 23 along Maple Drive near Leaf Circle in Farmington Township and struck a National Fuel gas meter.

The driver drove away from the scene without notifying police the property owner of the damage.
