Death investigation

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into the death of an 82-year-old Parker-area man sometime between Nov. 8 and 9 along Hagentown Road in Perry Township. The incident report listed the incident as a natural death.

Grave marker shot

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports someone fired five or six shots at a grave marker located in Venus Cemetery sometime between Oct. 9 and Nov. 9 along Sunny Lane in Washington Township.

The victim is a 55-year-old Venus woman. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact state police at Marienville at 814-927-5253.

Child abuse investigation opened

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. William Gerg of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an ongoing investigation of alleged child abuse at 8:04 a.m. Nov. 10 along Anderson lane in Washington Township.

Tionesta man forces way into home

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 37-year-old Tionesta-area man faces charges of burglary at 8:37 a.m. Nov. 12 along Amsler lane in Washington Township after he forced his way into a residence of a 59-year-old Tionesta woman looking for a victim who lives at the location.

After not finding the victim at the residence, the suspect left the scene. The suspect allegedly located the victim at 26-year-old Tionesta man -- at another location and threatened the man.

The suspect was taken into custody Nov. 14, arraigned and placed in the Clarion County Jail.

Object strikes vehicle on I-80

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports an unknown object struck the front left windshield of a 2006 Volvo tractor-trailer truck operated by a 56-year-old Vineland, N.J. man at 5:19 p.m. Nov. 12 along eastbound Interstate 80 near mile marker 53 in Beaver Township. The object splintered the window, causing $100 in damage.

Camera stolen

SALEM TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports someone took a black and brown Cudde-Back game camera from along a trail near baker Road sometime between Oct. 20 and Nov. 6 in Salem Township. The camera, valued at $220, belongs to an 80-year-old Lamartine man.

Terroristic threats

CALLENSBURG Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports a 55-year-old Callensburg man faces charges of making terroristic threats at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in Callensburg after he alleged threatened to harm a 46-year-old Callensburg woman.

Car hits ditch

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports Walter G. Ritts, 90, Knox, suffered suspected minor injuries at 1:24 p.m. Nov. 10 along State Route 208 near Shettler Road in Beaver Township when he lost control of his 2018 Ford Escape and struck a mailbox and a ditch.

Ritts was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation. The vehicle was disabled.

Knox Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Hay bale burned

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports someone set a large round hay bale afire sometime around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 9 along Limeplant Road in Perry Township. The owner of the farm and hay bale was able to extinguish the fire before it spread. The victim is a 40-year-old Parker-area man. Loss is estimated at $85.

Attempted fraud

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports an unknown individual attempted to scam a 26-year-old Shippenville man at noon Aug. 27 in Paint Township by having the man deposit a fraudulent check into his bank account and then send the scammer money orders. The incident is under investigation.

Sideswipe crash

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports no one was injured in a two-vehicle crash along State Route 338 in Beaver Township.

Trevor C. Miller, 24, Emlenton, operating a southbound 1999 Ford F-350, lost control of the vehicle and struck roadside guardrails, crossed both lanes and again struck roadside guiderails before re-entering the roadway and sideswiping a northbound 1998 Subaru Outback operated by Corra L. Black, 20, Knox.

Miller and his passenger, Ricki Elliott, 28, Sligo, and Black were all wearing seat belts.

Knox Area Ambulance service assisted at the scene.

Microwave stolen

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports someone took a black and red Kenmore microwave oven from a garage sometime around 8 p.m. Nov. 6 along Greencrest Drive in Paint Township.

A 38-year-old Shippenville woman left the microwave oven and some other items in a garage at an apartment she was moving out of while she took other items to her new home.

When she returned the microwave oven, valued at $100 was missing. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

Cash stolen

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports someone took $500 in cash from a Nine Star Trucking truck around 1 a.m. Oct. 8 along Perkins Road in Monroe Township. The trucking company is based in Grand Prairie, Texas. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

DUI alleged

CLARION BOROUGH Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports a 78-year-old Lucinda man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:54 p.m. Oct. 22 in Clarion Borough after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.

Harassment alleged

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. William Gerg of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 35-year-old Leeper man faces charges of harassment at 9 a.m. Nov. 10 along Maple Drive in Farmington Township after he allegedly was involved in a domestic incident with a 34-year-old Clarion woman.

Four-vehicle crash

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports two people were injured in a 6:21 p.m. Nov. 10 four-vehicle crash along State Route 66 in Porter Township.

Mark J. Bain, 51, Oil City, allegedly slowed his southbound 2018 Toyota Tundra "to a crawl."

According to the report, Logan G. Minich, 20, Fairmount City, operating a 2006 Jeep Wrangler, struck the rear of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 truck operated by Cory M. Neiswonger, 38, New Bethlehem, causing a "chain reaction."

Kendra R. Goheen, 30, new Bethlehem, operating a 2018 Toyota Rav4, also was involved in the crash.

The report does not state the order of the vehicles or how the Bain and Goheen vehicles were involved.

Three out of the four vehicles sustained disabling damage. The report does not indicate which vehicles those were.

Minich was not wearing a seat belt and he suffered a suspected minor injury. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Bain and his passenger, Tanya A. Bain, 53, Oil City, and Goheen were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Neiswonger was wearing a seat belt and suffered a possible injury.

New Bethlehem Fire Department, Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service and Cornman's Towing assisted at the scene.

Crash injures one

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports one person was injured in a 2:30 p.m. Nov. 6 one-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 322 near Old U.S. Route 322 and Liberty Street in Clarion Township (Location taken from incident report).

Adam L. Perkins, 21, Lucinda, operating a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, was traveling east in the passing lane when he lost control of the vehicle in a right curve and struck an embankment.

Perkins was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. His passenger, Samantha Neiswonger, 20, New Bethlehem, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered possible injuries.

Perkins was cited driving at an unsafe speed.

Clarion Fire and Hose Co. No. 1 and Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.

Vehicle hits wall

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Anita G. Jewell, 79, Crown, escaped injury at 8:01 a.m. Nov. 11 along Roundtown Drive in Farmington Township when she lost control of her 2018 Ford Escape and struck two retaining walls.

Jewell was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Snyder's Autobody. Shippenville/Elk Township Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Vehicles hit deer

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Jacob Knight reports Hannah F. Seigworth, 22 Brookville, escaped injury at 10:44 p.m. Nov. 9 along eastbound Interstate 80 in Beaver Township when her 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a deer on the roadway. Seigworth was wearing a seat belt.

HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports Abigail E. Ault, 36, Pittsburgh, escaped injury at 5:46 p.m. Nov. 6 along Miola Road in Highland Township when her 2017 Subaru Forester struck a deer on the roadway.

Ault and her two juvenile passengers were wearing seats and/or safety restraints. The vehicle was disabled.

ELK TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports Meredith L. Best, 68, Knox, escaped injury at 7:19 p.m. Nov. 6 along State Route 208 near Evergreen Drive in Elk Township when her 2008 Dodge Caravan struck a deer on the roadway. The van then struck a tree.

Best was wearing a seat belt. Mark's Towing assisted at the scene.
