I-80 crashes
RICHLAND TWP., Venango County Trp. Brian Tanner reports Felix K. Edusei, 44, Saint Cloud, Minn. Suffered a possible injury in a one-vehicle crash at 5:19 p.m. May 8 at the 46 mile marker on Interstate 80 in Richland Township, Venango County.
Edusei lost control of his 2023 Volvo VNL when his front tire blew and the vehicle went off the roadway, struck an embankment which caused a rollover. Edusei became entrapped in the vehicle and had to be removed by the Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department. Kylee Unger, a nurse passing by the scene stopped to assist with Edusei's injuries. Edusei was transported to Grove City Hospital by Emlenton EMS.
Edusei was wearing his seat belt.
CLARION TWP. Trp. Brian Tanner reports no one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:16 p.m. May 21 rash at the 71 mile marker on Interstate 80 in Clarion Township.
Corey L. Reed, 43, Plain City, Ohio, lost control of his 2011 Chrysler Town & Country minivan when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. The vehicle suffered disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Reed and his three passengers were wearing their seat belts.
Employee theft
ELK TWP. Trp. Katherine Berggren reports she investigated a theft that happened sometime between 8 a.m. May 12, 2021 and 4 p.m. Feb. 24, 2023 along U.S. Route 322 in Elk Township.
The victim, a 35-year-old Clarion man, reported that one of his employees had been stealing from him since 2021.
The investigation continues.
Natural death
REDBANK TWP. Trp. Katherine Berggren reports she investigated a non-traffic related death that happened sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. May 15 in Redbank Township.
Berggren determined a 53-year-old Fairmount City man died from natural causes and there were no suspicious circumstances.
The investigation is closed.
Alleged DUI
FARMINGTON TWP. Trp. Andrew Greenawalt reports Amy Bodak, 44, Pittsburgh is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:14 a.m. May 21 on State Route 66 in Farmington Township.
The Marienville state police barracks received the report of an erratic driver traveling north on State Route 66. Greenawalt performed a traffic stop on Bodak and determined she was under the influence of alcohol.
The investigation continues.
Two-vehicle crash
FARMINGTON TWP. Trp. Caleb Baxter reports there were no injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 7:16 a.m. May 19 at the intersection of State Route 36 and Arnold Avenue in Farmington Township.
James A. Siszka, 23, Port Allegany, driving a 2019 Ford Explorer, failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Arnold Avenue and State Route 36 and crashed into a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Nathaniel D. Bickel, 24, Tionesta.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Siszka was issued a traffic citation.
