Attempted illegal firearm purchase
PAINT TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports an ongoing investigation into an alleged attempt to illegally purchase a firearm Feb. 2 at a firearms store in Paint Township. The suspect is a known male.
Package theft from post office
MARIENVILLE Tpr. Jeremy Bloom of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an unknown person took possession of a package mailed to a 47-year-old Marienville woman at 1:15 a.m. May 7 at the Marienville Post Office in Jenks Township, Forest County.

Two thefts along Old Fryburg Road
WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Lee Bunyak of the state police barracks at Marienville reports an ongoing investigation of two thefts sometime between May 11 and 13 along Old Fryburg Road in Washington Township.
In the first incident, the suspects entered an unlocked shed owned by a 67-year-old Fryburg man and took a Stihl chainsaw Model 391 with a 20-inch bar valued at $550; a Stihl leaf-blower valued at $150; a five-gallon gas can valued at $30; and a gallon of gas valued at $2.
In the second incident, the suspects entered a vehicle owned by a 73-year-old Fryburg man and took approximately $25 in change.

BROOKVILLE Tpr. Alex Burkett of the state police barracks at Punxsutawney reports a 48-year-old New Bethlehem man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:23 a.m. May 16 along State Route 28 in Brookville Borough after he was observed stopped in a parking lot.
Crash injures two
PARKER TWP. Tpr. Phillip Schneider of the state police barracks at Butler reports Ronald L. Dunkle, 51, Parker, and a 14-year-old male passenger, also from Parker, suffered injuries at 4:40 p.m. May 15 along State Route 268 in Parker Township, Butler County, when Dunkle lost control of his 2001 Dodge Dakota truck and struck two trees.
Dunkle and his passenger were not wearing seat belts. Dunkle was flown via medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh-area hospital after he suffered a heart attack and for treatment of his injuries.
The passenger was flown via medical helicopter to Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of his injuries.
Bruin Volunteer Fire Department, Emlenton Ambulance Service and Karns City Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports an ongoing investigation of a 6:19 p.m. May 12 incident along Rehobeth Church Road in Clarion Township during which a 38-year-old Corsica woman was allegedly harassed.
SLIGO -- Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports an ongoing investigation of an 11:34 a.m. May 5 incident along Bald Eagle Street in Sligo during which a 42-year-old Sligo was allegedly harassed.
