DUI alleged

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports a 51-year-old Mobile, Ala., man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance at 11 a.m. Aug. 27 along westbound Interstate 80 in Beaver Township.

Doverspike allegedly observed the suspect driving a tractor-trailer rig and fail to stop at an active weigh station.

After conducting a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program inspection, the operator allegedly was found to be DUI and in possession of a controlled substance.

Couple cited

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports a 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both of Clarion, face charges of harassment at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 4 along Robinwood Drive in Clarion Township after they allegedly were involved in an altercation with each other.

Disorderly conduct

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Cheyenne Smith of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 48-year-old Tionesta man faces charges of disorderly conduct and harassment at 7:55 p.m. Oct. 3 along Pine Hollow Road in Washington Township after he allegedly arrived at a female victim's home and began beeping the horn on his vehicle and squealing the tires.

The suspect allegedly then shouted at the victim concerning an unrelated incident.

Escape alleged

TIONESTA Tpr. William Gerg of the state police barracks at Tionesta reports an ongoing investigation into a 6:49 p.m. Oct. 4 incident at Taylor Diversion Center in Tionesta during which a known female suspect took an employee's cellular telephone and left the center without permission.

STRATTANVILLE - A woman accused of stealing more than $70,000 from the Strattanville Volunteer Fire Department was sentenced Oct. 6 in Clarion County Court to serve seven years on probation.

CLARION - A Clarion County jury Sept. 24 convicted Floyd Harry Watson, 45, Knox, on 111 charges relating to the rape of a girl over a six-year period.

ELK TWP. -- Pamela J. Raybuck, 66, Kossuth, Sept. 15 pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving resulting in death, a summary offense, and has paid a fine and court costs totaling $610.

LOWER BURRELL - A member of the Clarion-Limestone School Board faces an Oct. 19 preliminary hearing on charges he was driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:27 a.m. Aug. 21 in the City of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.

CLARION - The former tenant of a Clarion apartment building Aug. 25 entered a guilty plea to aggravated arson, risking bodily injury, a first-degree felony, in Clarion County plea and sentence court.
