Car hits embankment in Lake Lucy

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jeremy Bloom of the state police barracks at Marienville reports John E. Brown, 47, Telford, escaped injury at 8:26 p.m. July 1 along Lake Lucy Road in Washington Township, when he lost control of his 2008 BMW Mini-Cooper on a left curve.

The car went off the road and struck an embankment. Brown was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Make-up bag stolen

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Zachery Weaver of the state police barracks at Marienville reports someone broke into a home sometime July 3 along State Route 208 in Fryburg, Washington Township, and took a black and white make-up bag valued at $5, containing eyeliner, lipstick and other male-up valued at $75.
