lBrian Russell Berthold, 21, Clarion.

Charged with selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, a third-degree misdemeanor, at 12:50 a.m. Nov. 3 in Clarion Borough.

Clarion Borough Police Officer Evan Maxwell reported to Clarion Borough Police Officer Roger Wright he had detained a minor in possession of alcohol.

The minor allegedly told police he was with Berthold who had purchased alcohol and the two men planned to consume the alcohol together.

Berthold allegedly admitted purchasing the alcohol and handing it to the minor.

Berthold allegedly told police it was "a stupid mistake."

lMichelle L. Goodman, 43, Limestone.

Charged with theft as a first-degree misdemeanor Oct. 27 in Clarion Borough.

The owner of a Main Street bar contacted police and reported he was the last person to leave the establishment and Goodman, the cleaning person, was the only person in the bar between 4 a.m. when he left and noon when the business opened for the day.

The owner reported the bartender went to get the cash for opening the business.

The owner said there should have been $600 in a green bank bag and another $600 in a Crown Royal bag containing about $500 in a location known to the bartender.

Both bags were missing.

Police were able to contact Goodman and asked her to come in for an interview.

Goodman allegedly admitted to taking the money, but argued she took $434, not $1,100.

Goodman allegedly said she did not take the Royal Crown bag.

lShawn Richard Hawkins, 23, Akron, Ohio.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of violating general equipment standards, careless driving and driving with no rear lights at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 12 in Clarion Borough.

Police allegedly observed Hawkins driving at a high rate of speed and with a red light on his license plate.

Police stopped Hawkins after allegedly observing him make an abrupt stop for no apparent reason.

Police allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol in Hawkins' vehicle.

Hawkins allegedly had slurred speech and failed field sobriety tests

A blood test established his blood alcohol content level at .08 percent.

lMarcus Burrell Lantz, 20, Chicora.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving the wrong way, underage purchase, consumption and/or transportation of alcohol and minor driving with alcohol in blood system at 12:42 a.m. Oct. 24 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped Lantz after allegedly observing him driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Lantz allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath but denied consuming alcohol.

A portable breath test allegedly indicated Lantz had consumed alcohol.

Lantz then allegedly admitted he had consumed two beers.

Lantz allegedly failed field sobriety tests. A blood test established his BAC at .77 percent.

Charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors; and a summary charge of underage purchase, consumption and/or transportation of alcohol at 3:26 p.m. Oct. 31 in Clarion Borough.

Police responded to a suspected drug use complaint at The Suites On Main, Clarion University Campus.

Police detected an odor of marijuana in the room. Gregory allegedly turned over a small bag of marijuana and a deer antler pipe, along with whiskey, beer and a malt beverage.

State police responded to a report of a fight around 4:50 p.m. involving a large number of people along Robinwood Drive.

Police allege the defendants were involved in an argument that turned physical.

During the altercation, Lewis-Melendez allegedly scratched Puryear's cheek causing a minor injury.

Police were summoned to the scene again at 7:26 p.m. after the defendants allegedly re-engaged in the argument.

Police were alerted a gun had been displayed by one of the people involved in the altercation.

Charged with one count of possession of a small amount of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all unclassified misdemeanors; tampering with fire apparatus and disorderly conduct, both as third-degree misdemeanors, at 9:07 p.m. Oct. 28 in Clarion Borough.

Police responded to a suspected drug use complaint at The Suites On Main, Clarion University Campus.

Police detected an odor of marijuana in the room.

Police noticed the cracks around the door had been taped over and there was a plastic bag over the room's smoke detector.

Bowman allegedly turned over three plastic bags containing marijuana.

lCaleb Wade Hetrick, 19, Brookville.

Charged with open lewdness and disorderly conduct as third-degree misdemeanors; possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors; and summary charges of public drunkenness, underage purchase, consumption and/or transportation of alcohol and being an intoxicated pedestrian causing a hazard at 12:21 a.m. Sept. 1 in Clarion Borough.

Police allegedly observed a male urinating along Boundary Street in plain view of other people walking nearby.

Police called to the suspect and he allegedly zipped his pants and began to walk away.

When the police officer exited his vehicle, the man allegedly began to run.

Police pursued the man, later identified as Hetrick.

Hetrick was carrying a blue and black bag in his arms and nearly ran into a group of females walking along the road.

Hetrick eventually stopped and was overtaken by police.

Hetrick allegedly had glassy and bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Hetrick allegedly was concerned about the officer searching his back packs, saying one bag was his but the other belonged to a friend.

Police allegedly found numerous items of drug paraphernalia and alcohol in the bags.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor, and summary charges of minor driving with alcohol in blood system, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninspected vehicle, making loud noise and underage purchase, consumption and/or transportation of alcohol at 1:35 a.m. Sept. 1 in Clarion Borough.

Police responded to a vehicle parked on the grass and on the street.

The driver, identified as Peace, allegedly told police he got the truck stuck while trying to move it off the road.

Police observed pieces of wood under the truck.

Peace allegedly was "visibly intoxicated," with glassy and bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Peace allegedly was unsteady on his feet and admitted drinking six or seven beers.

A blood test established his BAC at .146 percent.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and driving with no headlights at 11:28 p.m. Sept. 24 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped Bachman after seeing a burned out headlight on his vehicle.

Bachman allegedly said he was having a "wiring issue" with the light.

Peace allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, glassy and bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech.

lKasey Michael McNany, 26, Clarion.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving an unregistered vehicle at 1:48 a.m. Sept. 17 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped McNany after observing his vehicle with an expired registration.

McNany allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and glassy eyes. McNany allegedly told police he had just left the IU where he had four drinks.

McNany failed field sobriety tests and a blood test established his BAC at .119 percent.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of failure to obey a traffic control device at 12:57 a.m. Oct. 18 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped Shelow after allegedly observing his vehicle make a very wide turn from the wrong lane at an intersection.

Shelow allegedly had a very strong odor alcohol on his breath, glassy and bloodshot eyes and failed field sobriety tests. A blood test established his BAC at .151 percent. Filed by Maxwell.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving the wrong way, driving without a license and driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle at 12:05 a.m. Oct. 19 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped Cadet after allegedly observing him driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Cadet allegedly repeatedly told police he is not a criminal.

Cadet denied drinking alcohol before driving. Police allegedly found a half can of beer on the floor of the vehicle.

Cadet failed field sobriety tests and declines to submit to a blood test to determine his BAC.

lLuke R. Jones, 39, Clarion.

Jones is charged with simple assault and strangulation, both as second-degree misdemeanors; and harassment, a summary, at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 in Clarion Borough.

Jones is charged with simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary, at 6 a.m. Nov. 18 in Clarion Borough.

In the Nov. 8 case, Jones allegedly kicked a bedroom door open, grabbed an adult female victim to the floor, struck her in the face and choked her.

The victim suffered moderate injuries. Jones denies the allegations.

In the Nov. 18 case, Jones allegedly slapped a 6-year-old boy in the face several times and slapped the boy's bottom three times.

The boy told police Jones then applied lotion to his face.

The boy told police the slaps hurt.

lSheldon Christopher Belgrave, 20, Plum.

Charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving without lights after dusk, failure to obey traffic control devices, underage purchase, possession, and/or transportation of alcohol, driving without a license, driving while license is suspended, and minor driving with alcohol in blood system at 10:52 a.m. Oct. 5 in Clarion Borough.

Police stopped Belgrave after allegedly driving with his lights off. Police were a couple of vehicles behind Belgrave when they observed him exit his vehicle at a red light, walk to the vehicle behind his and talk to the driver.

Belgrave later told police he was trying to signal a friend and forgot to turn his lights back on.

Belgrave had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and glassy and bloodshot eyes.

A portable breath test indicated Belgrave had consumed alcohol.

A blood test established his BAC at .07 percent.
