Criminal charges filed:

lTimothy Ryan Gerred Jr., 40, Emlenton.

Charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, a misdemeanor; public drunkenness and similar misconduct, a summary offense; and pedestrian intoxication causing a hazard, a summary offense, at 3:08 p.m. Jan. 5 along Interstate 80 in Monroe Township.

Clarion based state police received a call regarding an individual who was walking along Interstate 80 going westbound at mile marker 62. State police Tpr. Kevin Doverspike made contact with the individual, identified as Gerred. at mile marker 61.2.

The complaint states while making contact with Gerred Jr., Doverspike could smell the odor of marijuana and the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Gerred.

The defendant allegedly related he had marijuana in his right pants pocket and a small plastic bag with suspected marijuana was found on Gerred's person. Gerred allegedly related he had been drinking alcoholic beverages prior to Doverspike's contact with him.

lCollin David Polka, 27, New Bethlehem.

Charged with retail theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, at 4:41 p.m. Aug. 27, 2019, in Monroe Township.

State police Tpr. Ryan T. Wilson was dispatched to Walmart Aug. 30, 2019, for a report of a retail theft.

Walmart loss prevention related that on Aug. 27, an individual identified as Polka was observed concealing HP printer ink on himself and exiting the store at 4:41 p.m. and again at 4:51 p.m.

The total value for the stolen merchandise is $513. According to the complaint, at no point did Polka attempt to pay for the merchandise prior to exiting the store. Filed by Wilson.

The following cases involve summary offenses punishable by up to a $300 fine and 90 days in jail upon conviction.

lAmanda Latreace Shelley, 49, Clarion. Charged with retail theft (took cough syrup and blueberries from Walmart valued at $13 without paying) at 12 p.m. Jan. 5 in Monroe Township. Filed by state police Tpr. Dylan Jarrett.

lMichael Paul Greenawalt, 35, New Bethlehem. Charged with writing bad checks (two checks for $38 and $42 to Country Fair, Shippenville) Nov. 5 and Dec. 14, 2019, in Paint Township. Filed by Country Fair.

lDennis K. Snyder, 61, Brookville. Charged with harassment (smacked the victim on the buttocks) at 4 p.m. Dec. 22, 2019, in Monroe Township. Filed by state police Tpr. Ryan T. Wilson.

lNicole M. Steele, 35, Mayport. Charged with writing a bad check ($77 to Country Fair, Shippenville) Nov. 8, 2019, in Paint Township. Filed by Country Fair.

lBradley R. Elder, 31, Shippenville. Pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct (engaged in a fight with another jail inmate) at 4:37 p.m. Dec. 26, 2019, in Paint Township. Fines and costs are $471.

lTammie Louise Mong, 35, New Bethlehem. Found guilty of harassment (threatened to smash the victim's face) at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 18, 2019, in Monroe Township.

Mong also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct (used loud obscene language in a public place) and defiant trespassing (trespassed at a place after being told not to enter) at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 18 in Monroe Township. Fines and costs are $471.

lBrandon M. Ditty, 26, Shippenville. Pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct (engaged in fighting with the victim) at 4:37 p.m. Dec. 26 in Paint Township. Fines and costs are $471.
