Children assaulted

ELK TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports a 40-year-old Shippenville man faces charges of statutory rape and sexual assault at various times between Dec. 23, 2018, and Dec. 23, 2012, along U.S. Route 322 in Elk Township. The victims are two females, ages 10 and 12.

Woman assaulted

PARKER Tpr. Hand of the state police barracks at Butler reports William McCall, 38, Parker, faces charges of assault at 3:22 a.m. Jan. 1 along Ludlow Avenue in Parker, Armstrong County, after he allegedly kicked open the door of a 50-year-old Parker woman, broke her cellular telephone and engaged the woman in a physical confrontation. The suspect was located and taken into custody. Damage to the door and telephone totals $550.

Vehicle vandalized

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Stephen Galmarini reports someone smashed the windshield out of a 2007 Chevrolet sometime around 6:42 p.m. Dec. 21 along Doc Walker Road in Perry Township.

The vehicle was parked along the road due to a flat tire. The victim is 40-year-old Parker man.

Truck rolls over

SALEM TWP. Tpr. Jacob Beers reports Troy Stenger, 48, Knox, escaped injury at 5:04 a.m. Dec. 28 along State Route 208 near Bittersweet Road in Salem Township when he lost control of his 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 truck on the icy roadway and struck roadside guiderails. The truck then rolled over. Stenger was wearing a seat belt.

Hit and run

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports no one was injured in a 7:32 a.m. Dec. 26 hit and run crash along westbound Interstate 80 in Beaver Township.

Wilson M. Moore, 80, Hopewell, Ohio, operating a 2022 Honda CRV, allegedly attempted to move into the left lane and struck a 2020 Volkswagen Jetta operated by Krupa P. Shah, 25, Piscataway, N.J.

Moore alleged accelerated away from the scene without stopping. Shah attempted to follow Moore but was unable to safely do so.

Moore was later identified with the assistance of the Ohio State Patrol.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Moore was cited for a traffic law violation.

Identity theft

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Sean Floor reports an ongoing investigation of alleged identity theft at 6:21 p.m. Dec. 29 along U.S. Route 322 in Paint Township. The victim is a 61-year-old Shippenville man.

Liquor law violation

REDBANK TWP. The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reports the Woodlands Tavern of Mayport RD was recently cited for serving alcohol to three visibly intoxicated patrons Oct. 23, 2021.
