Death investigation
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Kevin Krick reports an ongoing investigation of the May 26 death of a 67-year-old Clarion man along Brooklyn Lane in Clarion Township. The incident was reported as a natural death.
Firearm found
MILLCREEK TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a Sig Sauer P229 9-mm pistol with magazine with 10 rounds of ammunition was found around 8:30 a.m. May 29 along Old State Highway in Millcreek Township. An investigation is ongoing.
Sexually explicit material sent
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua Bauer reports a 15-year-old Strattanville girl reported to police she received sexually explicit texts and photographs from a known suspect March 23 in Clarion Township. The investigation is ongoing.
Couple fights after attending wedding
BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports Marc Lando, 39, and Barbara Lando, 31, both of Cranberry Township, face charges of simple assault and harassment at 11:06 p.m. May 21 along westbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 51.4 in Beaver Township.
State police at Clarion received an "On Star" call relating there was an active domestic dispute in a vehicle.
The investigation determined the Landos, a husband and wife, has recently attended a wedding in Clarion Borough and were returning home when an argument ensued.
The argument allegedly turned physical with both people striking each other multiple times.
Police allege Marc Lando attempted to drag his wife out of the car.
Unable to post $2,500 bail each, they were temporarily lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
DUIs alleged
KNOX BOROUGH Tpr. Sean Floor reports a 56-year-old Knox man faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance at 10:58 p.m. May 29 along West Penn Street in Knox Borough after he was stopped for a traffic law violation.
RIMERSBURG Tpr. Sean Floor reports a 55-year-old Kittanning man faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance at 10:15 p.m. May 26 along Main Street in Rimersburg.
Crash injures two
SALEM TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports two people were injured in a 11:05 a.m. May 30 one-vehicle crash along westbound State Route 208 just east of Shreffler Road in Salem Township.
Gerald W. Foley, 65, Butler, lost control of his 2011 Kia Sportage and struck an embankment and a road sign.
Foley was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
A passenger in the vehicle, Geraldine A. Foley, 85, Butler, was flown via medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh-area hospital for treatment.
Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.
Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department, Emlenton Ambulance Service, Knox Ambulance Service, Life Flight and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
Drug possession
FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Troy Owen of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 21-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y. man faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, an unclassified misdemeanor, at 4:26 p.m. May 30 along State 66 at State Route 36 in Farmington Township after being stopped for speeding.
Animal cruelty
HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports a 20-year-old man faces charges of cruelty to animals at 3:39 p.m. May 30 along Sarvey Mills Road in Highland Township after police responded to a report of a dog left inside a vehicle.
Trespass alleged
PERRY TWP. Tpr. Michael Stutsman reports a 23-year-old Strattanville man faces charges of criminal trespass at 4:01 p.m. May 28 along Barger Hollow Road in Perry Township. The victims are a 40-year-old Parker man and a 26-year-old Parker woman. The investigation is ongoing.
Tools stolen
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports someone stole a Stanley socket set valued at $200; Craftsman weed trimmers valued at $300; and various other tools valued at $50 sometime between May 19 and 22 along Hartman Road in Clarion Township. The investigation is ongoing.
SUV hits ditch
MONROE TWP. Tpr. Patrick Berggren reports Daniel G. Dooyema, 18, Sligo, suffered a minor injury at 4:15 p.m. May 26 along Five Pointe Road in Monroe Township when he lost control of his 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and struck a ditch. Dooyema was wearing a seat belt.
Hit and run
KNOX BOROUGH Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports an unknown driver struck a parked 2004 Honda Accord sometime around 10 a.m. May 22 along East Penn Avenue in Knox Borough.
