Girl threatened

SLIGO Tpr. Jesse Kochara reports a 12-year-old Sligo girl accepted a friend request from an unknown individual on Snapchat around 5 p.m. March 20. After talking to the unknown male, the male allegedly threatened to come to the girl's home and rape her.

The suspect sent a screen shot of the girl's home to her using the Snapchat map feature and told the girl he knows where she lives. The suspect also sent a photo of himself touching his genitals.

Rain causes crash

REDBANK TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports Rebecca Duncan, 27, Arnold, escaped injury at 8:32 a.m. March 20 along State Route 66 near Swartfager Road in Redbank Township when she lost control of her 2016 Kia Optima on the rain-covered road and struck a guide rail.

The car sustained disabling damage. Duncan was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for a traffic law violation.

New Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department, Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service and Mark's Auto assisted at the scene.

Child abuse investigation

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Katherine Berggren reports an ongoing investigation into alleged child abuse at unspecified time between Jan. 1, 2013, and Jan. 1, 2016, along Staab Road in Clarion Township. The alleged victim is an 11-year-old female. The alleged incident(s) is listed as a statutory rape/sexual assault.

Man threatened with a knife

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baugman reports an 18-year-old Titusville woman faces several charges at 4:17 p.m. March 17 along State Route 66 in Paint Township.

The woman allegedly entered the home of a 21-year-old Shippenville man without first knocking.

The woman allegedly started an argument with the victim before the victim attempted to escort the woman out of the house.

The suspect allegedly punched and slapped the victim before retreating to her mother's vehicle and obtaining a knife.

The suspect allegedly approached the victim with the knife and threatened to kill him.

The suspect was restrained by her mother. The mother took the suspect back to the vehicle and both women left the scene before police arrived.

Megan's Law violation

TOBY TWP. -- Tpr. Katherine Berggren reports an ongoing investigation into an alleged violation of the Megan's Law sexual offender registration program at various times between Dec. 19, 2019, and Feb. 5 along State Route 68 in Toby Township.

Two people cited

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 33-year-old Rimersburg woman and a 44-year-old Finleyville man face charges of harassment at 3 p.m. March 18 at Monroe Heights Motel in Monroe Township after they allegedly were involved in an altercation with each other.

Vehicle hits sign at Dairy Queen

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Ryan Drayer reports Trevor R. Pearcy, 29, Franklin, operating a 2014 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck, struck a sign in the Dairy Queen parking lot at 6:58 p.m. March 18 in paint Township and then drove away from the scene.

Pearcy was not injured in the incident.

One-vehicle crash

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Jacob Knight reports Eric P. Clinger, 55, Strattanville, escaped injury at 1:22 a.m. March 15 along Ridge Avenue in Clarion Township when he lost control of his 2011 Ford F-150 truck towing a small enclosed trailer and struck a utility pole.

The truck was disabled. Clinger was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.

Vehicle hits house

WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports Ronald L. Maher, 59, Lickingville, escaped injury at 4:13 p.m. March 19 along State Route 208 near Old Fryburg Road in Washington Township when he lost control of his 2004 Nissan X-Terra and struck a house.

Door damaged

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports a known suspect forced open a door at the residence of a 38-year-old Sligo man at 6:45 p.m. March 15 along State Route 68 in Monroe Township. The door was damaged.
