Terroristic threats

FARMINGTON TWP. Tpr. Jacob Snyder of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 26-year-old Tylersburg man faces charges of making terroristic threats at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 along Putnam Drive at Flickenworth Lane in Farmington Township after he allegedly involved in a verbal dispute involving a 23-year-old Glenshaw woman and a 48-year-old Marble woman.

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect was arrested, arraigned and placed in the Clarion County Jail.

Side-by-side parts stolen from machine

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports someone took chrome wheels with mounted tires, a windshield and an ignition with a key inserted from a 2013 Polaris Ranger side-by-side sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. along Black Fox Road in Perry Township.

The stolen items have a combined value of $1,350. The victim is a 59-year-old Parker RD man.

Anyone with any information about the theft is asked to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

Tailgate trim stolen from truck

TOBY TWP. -- Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports someone took a section tailgate trim from a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado truck owned by a 64-year-old Parker RD man sometime between Sept. 29 and Oct. 13 along Faust Road in Toby Township.

The missing item is valued at $50. Anyone with any information about the theft is asked to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

Electric bill scam

CALLENSBURG Tpr. David McBride reports a Callensburg business owner reported to police he fell victim to an electric bill scam Oct. 28 in Callensburg.

The victim said he was contacted by a person claiming to be Chris Olsen with Penelec Power Co.

The business owner was conned out of $1,496.

The scammer gave his telephone number as (888) 406-9712.

A Google search of that number comes back as being based in India.

ATV crash injures juvenile rider

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. David McBride reports he was dispatched to Clarion Hospital at 6:51 p.m. Nov. 2 in reference to an all-terrain-vehicle crash.

McBride reports speaking to the mother of the crash victim. The mother allegedly said the juvenile male was riding on private property near Knox when he lost control of the ATV and struck a tree.

The rider was thrown over the handlebars and landed on his left shoulder.

The juvenile was able to ride back to his residence and was transported to the hospital by a relative.

Clarion Hospital personnel treated the juvenile for a broken collarbone. He was then released.

Due to his wearing of a helmet, the juvenile did not suffer any head injuries.

Car hits pole

STRATTANVILLE Tpr. David McBride reports Emily A. Condon, 27, Mechanicsburg, escaped injury at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 30 along Fisher Road in Strattanville when she lost control of her 2010 Toyota Corolla, drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Police report Condon was not familiar with the area and was driving too fast to negotiate a curve in the road.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Condon was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for a traffic law violation.

Both drivers cited in two-vehicle crash

PAINT TWP. Tpr. David McBride reports no one was injured in a 12:23 p.m. Oct. 31 two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kiser Wagner Road and Edgell Lane in Paint Township.

Cameron Craig, 20, Clarion, operating a southbound 2003 Buick Century along Kiser Wagner Road reported his brakes locked up causing him to skid head-on into a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo operated by Crystal L. Elder, 27, Shippenville.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Craig was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Elder was cited for driving while her license is suspended for a DUI-related offense.

Car hits house

ASHLAND TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Linda L. Hunsberger, 56, Knox, suffered a suspect minor injury at 7:02 a.m. Oct. 28 at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and State Route 338 in Ashland Township.

Hunsberger allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, continued through the intersection and struck a house.

Hunsberger was not wearing a seat belt. She was cited for four traffic law violations.

Frye's Garage, Clarion Hospital EMS and Shippenville/Elk Twp. Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Vehicles hit deer

PAINT TWP. Tpr. Patrick S. Berggren reports Xavier Solis, 24, West Palm Beach, Fla., escaped injury at 4 a.m. Oct. 29 along Interstate 80 at mile marker 60.6 in Paint Township when his 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer struck a deer on the roadway.
