Weekend traffic enforcement
CLARION Troopers from the Clarion barracks issued 366 traffic law violation citation between May 28 and 31 in Clarion County.
At District Judge Duane Quinn's office, 115 citations were filed during the four-day window, which included Memorial Day travelers.
At District Judge Timothy P. Schill's office, 212 citations were filed.
At District Judge Jarah Heeter's office, 31 citations were filed.
At District Judge Jeff Miller's office, eight citations were filed.
WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. J. Highfield of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a 29-year-old McKeesport man faces charges of driving under the influence of marijuana at 2:49 p.m. May 30 along State Route 208 at Siegel Road in Washington Township after being stopped for a law traffic violation.
LIMESTONE TWP. Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports Dustin S. Hawk, 36, Clarion, escaped injury at 5:52 p.m. May 26 along State Route 66 near Michael Road in Limestone Township when he lost control of his 2004 Toyota 4-Runner and struck an embankment. Hawk was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation.
Mark's Towing and Limestone Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
CLARION TWP. -- Tpr. Kevin Doverspike Jr. reports Hannah E. Reed, 26, Mertztown, suffered unspecified injuries at 1:29 p.m. May 27 along Stoney Lonesome Road in Clarion Township when she lost control of her 2005 Jeep Liberty and struck an embankment.
Reed was not wearing a seat belt. She was cited for a traffic law violation.
MC Towing and Clarion Fire and Hose Co. No. 1 assisted at the scene.
Lucinda woman crashes car
BARKEYVILLE Tpr. Scott Pierce of the state police barracks at Franklin reports Margaret A. Ochs, 35, Lucinda, escaped injury at 9:45 p.m. May 26 along eastbound Interstate 80 at exit 29 in Barkeyville when drove between two barriers in the construction zone too early and entered onto a section of newly poured concrete.
Ochs' 2014 Honda CRV struck both loose and embedded reinforcement bars.
JENKS TWP. Tpr. William Greg of the state police barracks at Marienville reports a known male reported he found a .22-caliber rifle along State Route 66 in Marienville, Jenks Township, Forest County, around 3 p.m. May 31. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact state police at 814-927-5253.
Bad check investigation
WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. J. Highfield reports an ongoing investigation of a bad check issued to Rolling Hills Metal Sept. 26, 2020, by a known individual.
