PFA violation

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Joshua McGinnis reports a 43-year-old Sligo woman faces charges of indirect criminal contempt of court at 7 p.m. Dec. 30, 2020, in Clarion Township after she allegedly had contact with a 50-year-old Rimersburg man after being instructed in a protection from abuse order not to do so.

The suspect was arrested and placed in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bond.

Hit and run crashes investigated

SLIGO Tpr. Kyle Freeman reports an unknown driver of a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control of the vehicle around 8:10 a.m. Dec. 31, 2020, along Colerain Street in Sligo and struck a utility pole and then an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side.

The operator of the vehicle allegedly fled from the scene on foot.

Anyone with any information about the incident or the driver of the vehicle is asked to contact state police at 814-226-1710.

CLARION TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports an ongoing investigation of a 7:52 p.m. Dec. 1, 2020, two-vehicle hit and run crash along U.S. Route 322 near Carney Road in Clarion Township.

Jennifer A. Kidder, 20, Brookville, operating a 2011 Chevrolet Cruz, was involved in a crash with an unspecified vehicle. Both drivers stopped at a nearby lot. The driver of the unidentified vehicle appeared to be uninjured and drove away without exchanging information with Kidder.

The incident report indicates both drivers faced citations for traffic law violations. The incident report was released Jan. 2.

Harassment alleged

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports an ongoing investigation of alleged harassment at 10:10 a.m. Jan. 1 along Master Road Richland Township. The victims are two Emlenton-area women, ages 32 and 76.

Driver injured in crash

PORTER TWP. Tpr. Stephanie Graham reports Marc S. Sovik, 54, Houston, Pa., suffered unspecified injuries at 10:31 a.m. Dec. 30, 2020, along State Route 861 in Porter Township when he lost control of his 2020 Hyundai Sonata and struck a stop sign and an culvert.

Sovik was wearing a seat belt. He transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Lost handgun

KNOX TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports an ongoing investigation of a reported lost Smith & Wesson 380 Bodyguard handgun. The weapon was lost sometime between 5:30 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 28, 2020, along Old Fryburg Road in Knox Township. The incident report was released Jan. 2.

Bullet hits house

HIGHLAND TWP. Tpr. Chandra Baughman reports an ongoing investigation of a reported stray bullet striking a house at 12:31 p.m. Dec. 12, 2020, along Miola Road in Highland Township. Damage is estimated at $500. The victim is a 49-year-old Clarion-area woman. The incident report was released Jan. 2.

Crash injures two

PERRY TWP. Tpr. Brian Tanner reports two people were injured in a 3:14 p.m. Dec. 27, 2020, onevehicle crash along Limeplant Road in Perry Township.

Austin M. Phillips, 19, Parker, lost control of his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 truck on the snow- and ice-covered roadway and struck an embankment. The truck then rolled onto its roof.

Phillips and his 14-year-old female passenger, also from Parker, were wearing seat belts and suffered suspected minor injuries. Phillips was cited for a traffic law violation.

Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and Emlenton Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

I-80 crash

RICHLAND TWP. Tpr. Leopold Cleveland reports Anthony J. Romano, 22, Carthage, Mo., suffered suspected minor injuries at 10:24 a.m. Dec. 31, 2020, along westbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 44 in Richland Township when he lost control of his 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig and struck an embankment. The rig rolled onto its side.

Romano was wearing a seat belt. Emlenton Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Vehicle hits deer

HOVEY TWP. Tpr. Noah Neigh of the state police barracks at Butler reports Jeffrey R. Ayers, 47, Sligo, escaped injury at 6:24 a.m. Dec. 30, 2020, along State Route 268 in Hovey Township, Armstrong County, when his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro struck a deer on the roadway. Ayers was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was disabled in the crash.

False alarms

MONROE TWP. Tpr. Robert S. Hageter Jr. reports Primary Health Care along Pinnacle Drive in Monroe Township was cited Nov. 13, 202, for failing to control false alarms after state police responded to the facility five times for false alarms between Jan. 12, 2020, and Nov. 13, 2020.

Jeep hits tree

BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Patrick Berggren reports David F. Silves, 18, Knox, escaped injury at 7:18 a.m. Dec. 28, 2020, along Tippecanoe Road in Beaver Township when he lost control of his 1999 Jeep Wrangler and struck a tree.

Silves was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for a traffic law violation. The vehicle was disabled in the crash.
