Sexual abuse of a child investigated
STRATTANVILLE Tpr. Rodney Hotchkiss reports an ongoing investigation of alleged incidents occurring between March 18 and April 2 in Strattanville during which during which a 45-year-old male sent unlawful communication to an unknown underage female.
BEAVER TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports a 32-year-old Clarion woman faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at 4:58 p.m. April 21 along Huston Avenue in Beaver Township after police responded to a welfare check request.
CLARION TWP. Tpr. Tate Allison reports he responded to a 12:30 p.m. April 25 physical altercation between two students at Clarion-Limestone High School in Clarion Township.
Wheel falls off van
MONROE TWP. Tpr. Evan Cyphert reports Logan A. Shumaker, 32, New Bethlehem, escaped injury at 1:31 p.m. April 25 along State Route 68 near Stoney Lonesome Road in Monroe Township when the front left wheel and tire fell off his 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van. The vehicle came to stop along berm and sustained disabling damage. Shumaker was wearing a seat belt.
Crash injures two from Shippenville
WASHINGTON TWP. Tpr. Dustin Scheerbaum of the state police barracks at Butler reports Lane M. Hughes, 22, and Forristt Hughes, 27, both of Shippenville, suffered suspected minor injuries in a 4:52 p.m. April 24 two-vehicle crash along State Route 38 at Fairview Road in Washington Township, Butler County.
Sarah M. Dellich, 39, Hilliards, operating a 2007 Ford Explorer, turned north onto State Route 38 and into the path of a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle operated by Lane Hughes. The vehicles collided.
Dellich and her three juvenile passengers were wearing safety restraints.
The Hugheses were wearing helmets. They were transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment.
Dellich was cited for a traffic law violation.
