KNOX - The Knox Public Library is pleased to announce the receipt of two grants that will benefit all patrons of the library. It will help provide additional books and devices for customer use and enjoyment.
The library was the recipient of a generous grant from the McElhattan Foundation to purchase new, updated nonfiction-reference books for the children, teen and adult collections. These books have been processed and are now ready for check out at your convenience. To view the new titles, visit their Facebook page.
The library received five mobile hotspot devices through the Community Connect grant offered by the American Library Association and Capital One. The hotspots are ready for check out. The library is limiting check outs to residents of the Keystone School District and borrowers must have a valid library card and have an account in good standing. For more information, contact the library.
In March, the library will offer monthly activity kits filled with several different activities. If you are interested in an activity kit for your child, please contact the library at (814) 797-1054 or email@example.com.
The library will follow the Keystone School District school closing schedule. However, the school district's delays will not affect the library. The library may choose to close early, if the weather gets bad during the day.
If the weather is questionable out, please contact the library before coming to make sure the library is open. Overdue library fees will not be assessed on snow days and anything due that day will be moved to the next open library day.
For patrons' convenience, appointments will no longer be necessary for computer use or browsing at the library. Due to the pandemic, curbside pickup service is still available and masks are required for all visitors.
The library is not accepting any book donations at this time and their used book sale is closed.
For more information on any programs or to register for programs, contact the library at (814) 797-1054, email them at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit their website or Facebook page.
